Re: Your Favorite Batman '66 Comics

I like the issue where Minstrel has stolen the Shakespeare bust which locks Bruce and Dick out of the Batcave. as a result, they have to wear the prototype "screen-test" costumes that Alfred keeps in the Attic of Wayne Manor.
(Odd thing, they never consider using Alfred's service elevator)

Re: Batman Returns 25

I was/am/will always be, a huge fan of Batman '89. I thought Michael Keaton made Bruce/Batman very contemporary to the time of the film, and I loved the look/feel of Gotham. In Batman returns, I saw an immediate change because it went from a movie that Tim Burton directed (Batman '89) to a Tim Burto...

Re: Things you didn't notice or remember until seeing the DVDs

Just watched the screen test footage and it struck me that the Batcave set used for the tests is the cave where Catwoman finds the treasure of Captain Manx and falls down the bottomless ravine (you can practically see the pit in the background)

Re: An appreciation of Batman & Adam West

I feel that's largely because Adam was so completely underappreciated after Batman was off the air. his work prospects dried up because of typecasting, he spent much of his time doing bit parts (if that) or living on "Batman" appearances (It doesn't help that the Frank Miller Batman really made West...

Re: A Revisit To The Bookworm

Was watching this again after my previous post and suddenly had a few flashes in watching it the glasses Bit while watching the first fight between the dynamic duo and bookworm's gang, the never hit a man with glasses bit came up and I recalled the '89 Batman movie which seemed to poke fun at it. In...

Re: Favorite Non-Batman Adam West Moment.

Adam West did a great turn on the New World Zorro TV series that aired on the Family Channel in the early 90s.

The Wizard
Adam West appears as peddler and inventor Dr. Wayne. The Alcalde hires Dr. Wayne to invent a way to trap Zorro

Re: Holy Oh-No! Batman '66 comic near end of line(?)

Agreed. I love what we've had for the last few years and I'll always welcome more Bat-products whenever they become available. Also, closing down the monthly issues/crossovers doesn't mean slamming the door on the property and burying it for all time. There's always room in the future for One-shot s...

Re: TO THE BATPOLES podcast #62: Batman vs The Green Hornet: Blue, Green, and Pink

The interesting thing I noticed about this episode was that for the most part, anyone who refers to Kato does so by calling him the Green Hornet's masked accomplice/confederate etc... This of course means that the "enforcer" the green Hornet works with has no proper name. (oddly enough Batman actual...

Re: A Revisit To The Bookworm

Bookworm has really become my total favorite of all the '66 Villains. and it's funny, because I really forgot the character existed from when i watched the show as a kid in the 70s. In fact, when the 89 Batman movie came out, I was puzzled as to why Roddy McDowell of all people would be chosen to re...

Re: Adam has died

I was out and about all day and hadn't really checked in anywhere this morning online. As I was browsing my local B&N I got a text message from my dad about the news. my reply "there are no more heroes left in the world." I was fortunate enough to meet Adam a few years back at a wizard world Con in ...

Re: Things you didn't notice or remember until seeing the DVDs

yeah I do recall that. It's funny how you get scenes from various episodes mixed together in your brain (especially when you've been running through them recently)
Thanks
