Re: TO THE BATPOLES podcast -- Shame: Blazing Guns and Hot Rods

Batman's misquote is particularly funny when you consider that he (as Bruce Wayne) corrects Bookworm in the end of that arc after Bookworm has already corrected Lydia on that "Best Laid Schemes" quote.

Re: TO THE BATPOLES podcast -- The music of BATMAN

I was just listening to this episode and the track sample played at 18:50 reminds me of a track called Dr. No's Fantasy from the Dr. No Soundtrack by Monty Norman.

Re: George Sanders as Mr. Freeze

I was thinking about the question of how Robin got around on his own when Batman had the Batmobile and it was always my belief that after Batman left, Robin used the Hotline in Gordon's office to call Alfred who would pick Robin up in a Limousine that wasn't identifiable as belonging to Bruce Wayne....

Re: How did the Bat-Poles/Automatic Bat-Costume Changer work???

I always wondered what the drop was in-story. In Flop goes the Joker, Alfrd remarks that Joker didn't quite make it to the Batcave. Given the amount of time it took for Joker to get as far as he did before Alfred hit the switch and how long it took him to come back up, I wonder if the drop isn't a c...

Re: How did the Bat-Poles/Automatic Bat-Costume Changer work

I don't think it was a "changing station". Remember, in several episodes Bruce uses the "Negate Bruce's Change" switch. Why have the switch if he just stops to put on the costume halfway down the pole. Unless of course you want to argue that all the switch does is keep the lift moving and not stop ...

Frank Gorshin used to eat at a restaurant my parents liked in New Canaan, CT. They used to try and point him out to me but for somereason I was always looking the wrong way and never saw him. As it was, Until, I got the Batbook in 1986 I didn't really have anything worthy for him to sign. (and part ...

Re: ***SPOILERS*** ROTCC Discussion

One thing I noticed today and forgive me if someone has mentioned this already, but when the Batmobile is leaving the Batcave through the tunnnel, the various doors remind me of the corridor Max walks down in Get Smart

Re: ***SPOILERS*** ROTCC Discussion

I loved that they referenced a couple of nods to the live action movies. 1st during the fight on the space station when Batman goes dark he takes a line from Batman '89 NOW, YOU WANNA GET NUTS?!? C'MON! Let's get nuts! http://i163.photobucket.com/albums/t315/Golddragon71/Screen%20Shot%202016-10-11%2...

Do you remember when you stopped watching Batman?

I don't mean permanently, because i honestly feel that once you become a Bat-fan (especially of the Classic '66 series) you always go back to it whenever you get the chance. But Initially, You're watching Batman week after week and then you're not. It's either been cancelled during it's initial run ...

Re: The Latest Batman Item You've Acquired?

Gothosmansion The only archives really going up in price are the ones released in 2010-2011 because they were only published in maybe half the number of copies that the previous (and in some cases, following volumes) were. for example, Wonder Woman Archives volumes 5 and 7 are relatively easy and lo...
