Re: Diecast (Hot Wheels, Corgi, Matchbox, etc.) appreciation thread

I did this type of mounting for an old toy in a shadow box and it would work for this also. One very small hole in the case bottom below diagonally opposing wheels. A single thin wire through the holes, around the axles, and attached under the case in the middle. Attaching at diagonally opposing whe...

Re: GeekiTikis is releasing a 66 Batman set

I don’t see a date yet, but I follow their page and also check their site occasionally. If I see a date and link, I’ll post it. They have some really cool pieces. I’m glad they’ve turned their attention to ‘66 Batman.

GeekiTikis is releasing a 66 Batman set

They’ve been making pieces for other franchises for a while. Just got the ‘66 Batman notification today. Batman, Robin, and a Batmobile punchbowl.

Re: The Latest Batman Item You've Acquired?

I really thought the Scooby Batmobile would be easy to find, but it’s been surprisingly elusive. I definitely want a few more, so I may be going that same route. It’s a cool piece alright. Aside from the fun silliness, it has also has a nice weight and presence. It’s on my desk at work. 8-)

This is a link to his page showing the process. Crazy, man. It also looks like the finished pieces are a lot bigger than I expected. Very talented. I hope he does more.

Re: BURT WARD Gets Star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

That would be awesome if it were next to Adam West’s. I’m not really one to go visit or collect Hollywood related stuff. I have a few one-sheets, books, etc, but if his goes next to Adam, I just might have to make a pilgrimage. They are pretty much my earliest viewing of TV. Add in they were also my...

Re: Favorite Catwoman Actress?

No doubt, history will see Julie as the definitive Catwoman. In a great many episodes, she was exactly that. The perfect mix of equal parts criminal, straight, grounded, manic, mean, and scared. I often times agree and she is wonderful to watch. That said; every time I watch the film, I realize I st...

I just retweeted about ten tweets and polls that (rightfully) proclaimed Adam West as the best Batman.

Re: Diecast (Hot Wheels, Corgi, Matchbox, etc.) appreciation thread

Blue, I thought about that very thing. :D Oh well. I’ll buy as many as I come across. I may even leave them in the package. As you can see, I had mine out of the package as soon as got in the office. Put it on a purple notebook so I could recreate my avatar with the actual car. Next time I’m headed ...

Re: Diecast (Hot Wheels, Corgi, Matchbox, etc.) appreciation thread

After months of coming up empty in stores, I went heavy. ;) When I saw that a Comic Con was in town, I knew I had to go. Someone in that room full of uber-nerds would have one. I was right. Had it in my hand 30 minutes after I got in. What a crazy experience. TONS of great stuff. I could have spent ...

Re: EXCLUSIVE: Read ADAM WEST’s Final Published Work

That. Is. Awesome! A strange premise for a book, to be sure, but he knocked it out of the park. After years of watching and reading interviews, this just adds to what I already thought about him: He was a grounded and appreciative guy with a great sense of humor. -edit- This is yet again more proof ...

Re: Other Great 60s Shows...

...Mr. Ed LOVED Mr Ed! Quite an influence on me too. For about 8 years, when I was in my 40s, I worked for a company where my office had previously been the mailroom. During the buildout, they left the original door and just reconfigured the interior. Other than the door, it was the same as every o...
