Re: Adam West trending on Twitter

I just retweeted about ten tweets and polls that (rightfully) proclaimed Adam West as the best Batman.

Re: Diecast (Hot Wheels, Corgi, Matchbox, etc.) appreciation thread

Blue, I thought about that very thing. :D Oh well. I’ll buy as many as I come across. I may even leave them in the package. As you can see, I had mine out of the package as soon as got in the office. Put it on a purple notebook so I could recreate my avatar with the actual car. Next time I’m headed ...

Re: Diecast (Hot Wheels, Corgi, Matchbox, etc.) appreciation thread

After months of coming up empty in stores, I went heavy. ;) When I saw that a Comic Con was in town, I knew I had to go. Someone in that room full of uber-nerds would have one. I was right. Had it in my hand 30 minutes after I got in. What a crazy experience. TONS of great stuff. I could have spent ...

Re: EXCLUSIVE: Read ADAM WEST’s Final Published Work

That. Is. Awesome! A strange premise for a book, to be sure, but he knocked it out of the park. After years of watching and reading interviews, this just adds to what I already thought about him: He was a grounded and appreciative guy with a great sense of humor. -edit- This is yet again more proof ...

Re: Other Great 60s Shows...

...Mr. Ed LOVED Mr Ed! Quite an influence on me too. For about 8 years, when I was in my 40s, I worked for a company where my office had previously been the mailroom. During the buildout, they left the original door and just reconfigured the interior. Other than the door, it was the same as every o...

Dude! For Pete’s sake! I’ve got empty pegs in central Texas! I’m off this week though, so time to hit the stores.
Excellent find on the 07! That’s when Hot Wheels finally started to put things right. ;)

Re: Other Great 60s Shows...

Just off the top of my head, these are shows I remember regularly watching in the 1960s. Most were just me, two were a family watch. Batman The Munsters Leave It To Beaver Star Trek Speed Racer Then Came Bronson Flipper Gomer Pyle The Carol Burnett Show Scooby Doo, Where Are You? I certainly remembe...

Re: Twilight actor may be next screen Batman

I can see him working out well. A good story, script, director, and design and we could have a much better version than we’ve had in decades. This isn’t any different than the blowback when Michael Keaton was cast as Batman or when Daniel Craig was cast as 007. They haven’t even shot a single frame ...

Re: 13 QUICK THOUGHTS on the Greatness of YVONNE CRAIG

Well put on all of them, and I particularly agree with #7 (and have posted about it in the past). The current comic book version of Batgirl is heavily influenced by Yvonne Craig’s version of the character.

Re: Triggering the Old Batmania Feelings

For me, the part of every show where they’re landing on the pads at the bottom of the batploles and then run to the Batmobile. The entire opening for sure, but this scene still has the same magic as it did 53 years ago.

Man, come on! I haven’t even found the Mystery Machine Batmobile yet. Oh well, I have a business trip to Houston next week. No shortage of stores there that have Hot Wheels. I feel pretty certain I’ll find a few there. Plus there’s the grey 2019 design to find also.

With all the beautiful Batmobiles posted on this diecast thread, I just took leave of my senses....I went out to eBay and bought a Corgi Juniors Batmobile! I look forward to a side by side comparison with the Hot Wheels 1:64 Batmobile. https://i.imgur.com/PyrwiDn.png That thing is fantastic! To me,...
