Re: Saturday October 29th 2016

I Love Lugosi! His biography went with me on a trip around the world and when I decided to mail some stuff back to the states to lighten the load that was the one item I wouldn't part with. I think his best performance as Dracula was in 1943's RETURN OF THE VAMPIRE from Columbia-- they couldn't cal...

Re: Saturday October 29th 2016

Although the top billing went to Boris Karloff for his third and final portray of the monster in Son of Frankenstein IMO Bela stole the show with his portayal of Igor. Funny you should mention that; one of the things I mentioned to the Lugosi family was that although we all know that Bela kicked hi...

Re: Saturday October 29th 2016

Now I bet you had dressed as Dracula huh? lol But Seriously, that sounds awesome! I've been watching several Bela Lugosi movies over the past week. Dracula, Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein (a film I had never seen but, wanted to watch it solely to see Mr. Lugosi reprise his role of Dracula), ...

Hi Everybody: Last night I attended a special event at the Phantom Carriage Microbrewery in Carson, California. I had purchased a VIP Pass to go and see Mr. Bela G. Lugosi, son of the actor most famous for playing Count Dracula in the 1931 Universal horror movie. When I entered the VIP Room, I saw t...

And speaking of North by Northwest, if Adam West married Shirley North and she a baby, it would be North by Northwest lol.[/quote]

And if Burt Ward had gone on to become a state bureaucrat, then he would be a WARD of the STATE!

Re: Batman & The Addams Family

Would have been funnier if they go by the window and then it opens and we see the head of Sergeant Schultz looking up dubiously and then going, "I SEE NOTHING, NOTHING!" :D THAT definitely would have been hilarious! Slightly off topic, something similar did happen on "The Lucy Show" if anybody reme...

Re: I got an amazing e-mail!

That is an absolutely wonderful experience, Mr. Chronos. I've been fortunate enough to have similar experiences over the years, but I won't bring them up here. Suffice it to say that I know exactly how you felt when you received that e-mail. It's always refreshing when celebrities respond to us posi...

Re: Ted Cassidy's appearance as Lurch after the show was no longer being filmed.

I'm going to assume that it was simply a matter of Lurch being a recognizable character, probably more so than Ted Cassidy himself.

Re: Happy Labor Day

Sounds like the kite festival would be an enjoyable family event. That said, a Happy Labor Day holiday to everybody here on the Bat Board. For the record, I do like my day job and enjoy it for the most part. Nonetheless it is still WORK, and like most of us, I could think of any number of other thin...
