The Colonel Bogus March Part Two

Hi Everybody: here is the conclusion to my latest fan fiction from Season Four of our favorite program. For those who may not remember, I have chosen Kelsey Grammer to play the Special Guest Villain, Colonel Bogus. Thanks to Chris B. Critter and TBolt and Progress Pigment for your suggestions on Par...

Re: The Colonel Bogus March Part One

Christopher Lee to me would be a great 66 style Ra's Al Ghul. A Batman vs. Dracula would be something in the 66 format. Drac's henchmen would be tux wearing creeps. Funny you should mention Christopher Lee as Ra's Al Ghul; my friend on here Model Builder had mentioned that same casting decision sev...

Re: The Colonel Bogus March Part One

I LOVE Amicus and those portmanteau films from the 60's/70's. Did you ever see Adam West's contribution to the genre? Maybe season 5 of Batman could have been Batman introducing horror tales ala "The Night Gallery". I like it! And there's another story idea! 'Batman's Tales From Beyond'. Yes wheneve...

Re: The Colonel Bogus March Part One

As for Batman vs. Dracula (Christopher Lee), that would probably work in the comic book, but Count Dracula as played by Christopher Lee was a very menacing supernatural being. In the Batman 66 universe, nothing from the paranormal was ever genuine, although for some reason there is a city ordinance ...

Re: The Colonel Bogus March Part One

I had no idea that Bruce Cabot and Frankie Avalon had been suggested to play the Dynamic Duo, but I have to agree with Progress Pigment: I don't think that it would have worked. For one thing, Bruce Cabot would have been to old to play the crime fighter, although I do think he would have made a very...

Re: Serials Based on Comic Characters

2. There were only so many scrapes our heroes could get into at the end of the chapter each week, that many of the serials re-used the same "inescapable death traps" that had been seen in other serials. One of my favorite cliffhangers was the "lava flow" or "molten steel" they'd use in so many seri...

Re: The Colonel Bogus March Part One

Hi Everybody: Thanks for the comments; you've all brought up some interesting choices. I myself had considered the possibiilty of Bruce Cabot for the role, but I must say, I am LIKING Sterling Hayden as Colonel Bogus had the character appeared in the original incarnation of the show. I must ask: Wha...

Re: Serials Based on Comic Characters

I'll have to check some of those out. I also enjoyed "The Phantom Creeps" "Radar Men From The Moon" "Daredevils of the Red Circle" "Don Winslow of the Navy" and "Mystery Mountain" among others. However, there are two peeves that I do have about most of the older serials: 1. Too often the plane would...

Very impressive; reminds me of a cover of a the April 1963 issue of Screen Thrills Illustrated.

Well done!

The Colonel Bogus March Part One

Hi Everybody! It's been awhile but I began another script from my own "Season Four" of our favorite series. I wrote Part One back in December, and Part Two is just about finished. To our newer members here, Scott Sebring has been kind enough to allow us to post our fan fiction stories here, and I'm ...
