On a side note, it took me 3 days to get the re-paint to look right (removing the old markings, trying to hide what was left, adding several coats of black, and some very light and I mean light sanding with 300 grit, then repainting the markings)
Chuck, I was not aware they (Mattell) used one of your cowls when they designed theirs. If this is so, then it really puzzles me as to why the markings on the face were so off. I never got to sit in a batmobile. I was lucky enough though to meet Adam, in costume mind you, back in the late 80's in Green Bay, so I'm happy. Welcome to the forum. Lots of great people and information here.

I agree with RRR. I wouldn't do it either. Too much money and too many careless people in a bar, especially after a few beers. It only takes a second for someone to beer stain a cape, or god forbid, ANY cowl! You will regret it afterwards.
I have to agree with Chuck here, I would have killed for something like this when I was a kid also, Although, I did have the Ben Cooper costume. No idea after all these years what happened to it.
Oh this just looks too good! You have a lot of work ahead of you. It sounds like you have a GREAT passion for the Batgirl cycle and cycles in general. This will be a labor of love for sure! You have to keep us updated on the project I am sure it will turn out FANTASTIC!
