Re: "Gilligan's Island" On Batman?

The duo wash up on Gilligan's Island in the Batboat, in need of refueling. The castaways help them work up a solution to fuel the boat, but when the duo get back to civilization, they're immediately attacked by Joker's henchmen and are bopped on the head, causing amnesia, so they never send the auth...

TO THE BATPOLES #138: Batman Forever: “Holey Plot, Batman!”

https://deconstructingcomics.com/Batpoles/batmanforever.jpg Is Batman Forever a comedy? Or is it an action movie with a few funny parts? Is it a throwback to the ’66 series, or a blend of every iteration of Batman? Is it camp? The cut scenes regarding Bruce’s memories of his father’s diary prompt u...

TO THE BATPOLES #137: Yvonne Craig: We get a kick out of this memoir

https://deconstructingcomics.com/Batpoles/yvonnecraig.jpg Yvonne Craig’s memoir, From Ballet to the Batcave and Beyond, poses quite a contrast to those by Adam West and Burt Ward. "Batman" takes up much less space in it, and recountings of sexual adventures take up no space at all. What emerges is ...

Re: TO THE BATPOLES #135: Batman ’66 Comics, the Gray Ghost, and Nostalgia

Sure, Gordon and O'Hara addressed him that way, as did some villains. But I don't believe Batman ever did. It sounds very strange to me, coming from him.

Bat-fodder, Ben? Appropriate right after fodder's day, as we are (at least in the US and Japan!).

Jimmy, very funny!

Re: TO THE BATPOLES #134: What’s My Crime? Bob Dozier’s Joker Drafts

--It was unfortunate Nancy Kovack did not have more lines, because her line in the 'What's My Crime' spoof of What's My Line is a nice impression of Arlene Francis of What's My Line Given how late her character's part was built up from next to nothing, she was lucky to have as many lines as she did...

Re: TO THE BATPOLES #134: What’s My Crime? Bob Dozier’s Joker Drafts

In the "Joker's Utility Belt" comic, the Joker has a conveyor belt that leads into a giant Joker face, and the Joker mouth is a furnace. His utility belt is also red in the comic, which may be where that bit came from. Joker managing to take off Batman's belt and replace it with another belt must m...
