Re: TO THE BATPOLES podcast #108: The William Dozier Fanboy

I'm going to mention this in a future podcast episode, but since it came up, thought I'd go ahead and share.

Re: TO THE BATPOLES podcast #108: The William Dozier Fanboy

Wow! As a matter of fact, after our talk Oscar sent us more info about Dozier's crime that I spaced off mentioning in the podcast in my narration, jetlagged as I was. Says Oscar: " So here is the scoop with a lot of conjecture on my part. Dozier along with a handful of co-defendants was convicted of...

The note on the cover page, "We're almost making Batman stupid at times instead of earnest--careful!" Well! They certainly should have stuck with that remark over the course of the series!
Just goes to show what was lost when Semple left.

TO THE BATPOLES podcast #108: The William Dozier Fanboy

http://deconstructingcomics.com/Batpoles/dozier.jpg We all have our favorite characters and actors from "Batman", but how many of us are fanboys for Executive Producer William Dozier? Well, for one, there’s Oscar Lilley, proxy researcher at the American Heritage Center in Laramie, Wyoming. In the p...

Script: THE SECRET OF THE IMPOSSIBLE CRIMES, by Leonard Stadd

The next script we'll be discussing on TO THE BATPOLES podcast (probably around the end of May) will be Leonard Stadd's "The Secret of the Impossible Crimes," a script that Semple whole-heartedly rejected in 1965!

Re: SCRIPT: THE FUNNY FELINE FELONIES

Yeah, there are several pages missing from the first draft. Wasn't able to get in touch with Laramie in time to see if those pages were accidentally unscanned or simply missing from the archive.

Re: John Astin appears on the Gilbert Gottfried podcast!

I would respectfully disagree. As a regular listener of their podcast, I enjoy the Bat-history lessons and have NO desire (and also, no offense to anyone), to see another replica Bat-cowl, belt, shield, etc. I don't care about the toys. I want insight into what it was like at the studio, on the set...

Drew joins us to talk about the treatment, draft, and final scripts of the Funny Feline Felonies two-parter, which reveals inconsistent concern for not doing the same gags twice, the death of the budding Batman-Batgirl ...

Re: BATMAN ’66 Exhibit Revamped — and Extended Again

From their web site, it appears not. It's become what they promised a while back, a museum of the costumes and likenesses of the Terrific Trio and several other '60s-'70s live-action superheroes.

Re: John Astin appears on the Gilbert Gottfried podcast!

Interesting. Yeah, he may have dragged his feet even for Gilbert. I'm a little reluctant to try the same path Gilbert took, since I have way, way less Hollywood cred than Gilbert (in fact, I have none, last I looked), and also I'm afraid every podcaster and his brother (haha) is going to be contacti...
