Re: Batman '66 Lost Episode: Who would have played Two-Face

Yes, I had originally thought about having Jeff Parker on, but Paul and I have been keeping up on the bi-weekly schedule much better than I had expected -- so much so that I would consider going weekly if I weren't already doing two *other* weekly podcasts! And I did have Parker on my Deconstructing...

Re: Batman '66 Lost Episode: Who would have played Two-Face

Lord Death Man, glad you're enjoying them! Yeah, the non-episode review episodes are their own kind of fun. If you have any ideas for topics, let us know! And thanks all for casting ideas. One person elsewhere pointed to a rumor that Clint Eastwood's name was actually thrown around as a possible Two...

Batman '66 Lost Episode: Who would have played Two-Face

This week on Deconstructing Comics, Paul and I jumped over from our normal "To The Batpoles" perch to discuss "Batman '66: The Lost Episode", a comic based on a Batman '66 treatment by Harlan Ellison that would have introduced Two-Face to the Adam West Batman universe. http://deconstructingcomics.co...

New podcast episode: Batman '66 and "camp"

New podcast episode! What is camp? What makes Batman '66 "campy"? Also: why does calling Batman '66 a "sitcom" set our hair on end? If it's not a sitcom, then what IS it?

Podcast: The Prince of Puzzlers!

Better late than never, last week's episode of our fortnightly bat-podcast! http://deconstructingcomics.com/Batpoles/riddlerandmousey.jpg The Riddler's back! And he's... focused. Less giggly, more speechy. This time he kidnaps a king (Reginald Denny), then threatens to blow up the (invisible?) Queen...

George Sanders as Mr. Freeze

Our latest To the Batpoles! podcast is up. We discuss Sanders' performance as Mr. Freeze (somewhat disappointing to one such as Paul, who's seen a lot of his other work). Also: Why did the writers make Batman responsible for Mr. Freeze’s condition? Where else did Shelby Grant and Robert Hogan appear...

Re: Did anybody notice...???

Something's bugging me. In Episode 2 when Molly falls into the nuclear pile in the Batcave, what's Batman's line? I recalled it as "What a way to go-go". Listening to The Batcave podcast from 2 years ago, I heard it quoted the same way. But on the DVD, he says "What a terrible way to go-go." Was thi...

My talk with Wally Wingert

I'm not sure how many of you noticed I mentioned this last week in the "Bat-Podcast" topic, so just in case you missed it: listen to my great talk with noted Bat-fan Wally Wingert! On the show page, I've also got some photos of '60s Wally in his various Bat-suits! Thanks to Wally for providing them!...

Re: Bat-podcast

The third episode is up! http://tothebatpoles.libsyn.com/003-shall-we-dance

We talk about other shows that riffed on Batman, Burt Ward's acting versatility, Batman series tropes that were already on display in the pilot, and some music! Shall we dance the Batusi?
