Re: If the series ever comes out on Blu Ray

I've never seen sales figures, but I'm guessing just about every series sells more copies of Season One than any follow-up seasons. Star Trek: The Next Generation would be one exception, since most fans believe the series really found its groove by season 3 (with its Borg season-ending cliffhanger)...

Re: Any new GH movie talks ??

I really like your idea of a cartoon series. I don't particularly see it happening at this point, but I think such a series would go over very well if they gave it a shot. Thanks! I agree that an animated series would not be the route GH's current owners would take, but it would be the best way to ...

Re: Eaglemoss Batmobiles.

The pic of the Barris Batmobile makes it look sort of...short. Anyone know if the body is screen accurate? Or how accurate compared to the HW 1:18 or 1:43?

Yeah, but they are Bat-Barbies, so there has to be room for them! :D

Re: Batmobile & Black Beauty display ad - 1976

I saw the #4 Barris dragster car several times from 1975 until 1983: http://imageshack.us/a/img502/6776/b4frontandside.jpg http://imageshack.us/a/img441/4231/b4andb2interiors.jpg Those were some great times... You are not kidding!! Being a Bat-fan and car shows were just too much back in the 70s! T...

Re: First draft of Nora Clavicle script

Yes, I liked the idea of Batgirl trying to 'inflitrate' Clavicle's inner circle, if you will. Shows more initiative and ingenuity on BG's part than merely cruising Gotham City on her cycle and waiting for something to happen. Considering how the filmed Batgirl turned out, the producers could not al...

Re: If the series ever comes out on Blu Ray

I'm glad I'm wrong, if there's not a lack of extras that could be included with a release! :D The material is there, but the question is whether or not Fox will pay to use off-series content. From a business standpoint, it would be additional icing on the cake--another reason to sell units percieve...

Re: Batmobile & Black Beauty display ad - 1976

Thank you for the ad!! Those were the days when custom TV cars were insanely popular, and so much fun to see at shows! Interesting how the Black Beauty--a decade after the GH series' debut--was reduced to being identified as "Green Hornet/Bruce Lee car," instead of the proper title. I know the mid 7...

Re: Why a Serious Green Hornet?

Part of the TV GH's long lasting appeal is the contrast in tone to Batman . Although similarities existed (senior and junior crimefighters, fantastic vehicle and gadgets, innovative title theme music, etc.), GH was a show with its own internal logic and feel which would have been lost if the camp ro...

Re: If the series ever comes out on Blu Ray

I think most of the potential extras have already been released in other projects. IIRC, that's pointed out at the tvshowsondvd site (don't recall the site URL... :? ), where they note that Batman is an unusual case because it's been unreleased for so long that all of the extras have already come o...

Re: Batman villians vs The Green Hornet

First season Catwoman (whip cracking, sort of sadistic), Sanders' Mr. Freeze (no-brainer), False Face, and early Joker would work on TGH, as each were no more fantastic than Dr. Mabuse from the lone GH two-parter, "Invasion from Outer Space." Any one of the villains would have been colorful--but thr...

THANKS A TON for the commercials!

Post-series footage (i.e. the 70s) is not easy to come by!

Re: Favorite Epilogue

Sort of a running theme to my favorite Bat-epilogues.. 1. Zelda's meeting with Bruce Wayne in "A Death Worse Than Fate." She was sympathetic, and one could see she truly considered her criminal life as something to regret. From Baxter's sad delivery, to West's great pause facing the camera--and in t...
