Re: If A Comedic Batman Were Made Today, Who Would You Cast?

[quote="Brad Pittiful"]i listed just the villains who were in the TV show dana gould as robin Uh, maybe 10 years ago - I googled this guy, not knowing who he is, and --- yeah, 10 years ago. I think unknowns should be cast as Batman and Robin if any such project were undertaken. There's no one out th...

Re: Joker's Moustache - To Airbrush Or Not To Airbrush?

No, I wouldn't want it airbrushed. I didn't notice it at first, then I heard about it, looked for it afterward, spotted it, thought, "uh-huh", then just went on watching the episode. It adds character, like the runs in Burt's tights.

I give her a costume two thumbs up.

CATheterization - or maybe he calls on all his inner resources to resist the urge, much like he did with Marsha's love dart.

Re: If "1966" was ever released on DVD.....

PS: I hope we don't have to wait until mind implant chips take over the market LOL LOVE that idea - that way, all we'd have to do was think of a certain episode and it would play and we'd be the only ones who could see it - great for the commuter train, but I wouldn't recommend it while driving - no...

Re: Audio Burgess Meredith interview about playing The Pengu

Thanks for the post - I just heard the interview and it was funny, especially when Meredith kept imitating himself doing the quack. I also loved the blog's layout. Nice stuff - I remember 16 Magazine, and was always sending in for those giveaways from which I never profited - I think the last one I ...

Re: The character of Julie's Catwoman

HOLY MUSH! The Bat and the Cat when the series went SPLAT! I never heard of such a thing. Newmar's presence wsa missed in the 3rd season, but maybe it was for the best that she wasn't there - Joker, Penguin and Riddler were wasted in those horrible episodes. Newmar definitely had a great time with p...

Re: 'Batman' TV show licenses acquired by Warner Bros!!!

I'm wondering if this is a bit of market research - to monitor the level of interest in the series by way of sales merchandise - "well, they bought all the stuff, they must really want the series out - they'll pay ANYTHING FOR IT, TOO" (INSERT RIDDLER OR JOKER LAUGHTER)

If "1966" was ever released on DVD.....

...I think I'd like the option of a box set featuring a certain villain - as opposed to Season One, Season Two, etc. The Big Four would each get their own box set, and then a "catch all" with Shame, Ma Barker, Bookworm, etc.

Thoughts? I know this is a fantasy at this point, but, still....

Re: The Boy Who Loved Batman (book) Long read

That makes two books I'd like to read - the other being by Dr Wertham. I heard excerpts of Wertham in the past and I'd like to check out the whole thing. Wertham's point of view didn't change my opinion of the character or the series, and I don't think Usla will either. I'd just like to know where t...

Re: Did Anyone Watch The Top 20 Dynamic Duo Show Sunday nite

I didn't even know there was such a special, but from what I'm reading here, it looks as if I didn't miss much. Batman and Robin will always be the only Dynamic Duo. I always felt it bit silly to apply that term to other twosomes. When I read that Roseanne and Dan Conner were considered a Dynamic Du...

Re: False Face - Should He Have Appeared More?

Chalk that up to the writing in season one. All the villains were pretty scary then, especially the Big 4, who sadly became parodies of themselves later on. Joker went from threatening to unmask our heroes on live television, then devolved into a surfing match with Batman; Penguin tired to suffocate...
