Re: Batman scripts

Finished with the St. Joseph Sandman script. Better than the final, final one? In some places. In others, eh... There is a rather dark twist near the end which I can see why it was changed - although it wouldn't be a good enough reason for the rewrite it got. Still, Tim and Paul have the script, so ...

Re: Batman scripts

Thank you for that tip, Mr. Glee! Just picked up the "Death in Slow Motion" and "The Sandman Cometh" scripts and I'm reading through them. DISM is listed as the final script dated March 7, 1966, I'd say about 95% matching the show as aired, and TSC is, surprisingly, the final dra...

Hey guys - a little late but thanks so much for the Doh Prize! I've given it a place of honor in my home:

At least she was good in that silent bit where she gasses the ribbon-bound cameraman to sleep, and dismisses him with a little shrug - "hmm - whatever"

Brilliant detective work on the matte shot, Scott!
Hard to say what else a matte shot of an empty bridge leading into NYC/Gotham could have been used for; maybe it was a one-shot deal like the giant clock bell?

Ooh - almost hurts to see that beauty sprayed pink! Having seen the original, were there any overspray patterns inside it you were able to match? Wonder what kind of spray gun and paint were used on the original?

Re: SCRIPT: THE JOKER'S WILD

So, how close did this match the comic book story (body count in particular)? I see they went with safely dead comedians who wouldn't sue or ask for royalties - Laurel, Hardy, Fields, and Kovacs - for the henchmen, and skipped making them resemble the originals. The hollowed-out exploding statues no...

Re: Casting Suggestions for '66 villians

And Leslie Nielsen had to play straight man to Don Knotts in The Reluctant Astronaut . Too bad - a little Frank Drebin in that role might have helped! I may lose my you-know-what card here, but Joan Crawford had been taking herself so seriously for so long onscreen that her comic timing had faded - ...
