Re: In Praise of Aunt Harriet

Just wish the Sandman episodes could have given her and J. Pauline Spaghetti some scenes together. Might have been pretty funny...

Re: Riddle Me This # 8

Fake his own death so he can use the coffin to hide stolen uranium and dig it up later? Although that could end up with a Batfight in a cemetery...

Re: '66 movie at drive-in in '05 - who were Batman & Batgirl

That's our very own Scott and Vickie Sebring driving in the "Return To The Batcave" Batmobile replica, built by Bob Butts but now in possession of Barris and known amongst fan's as Barris' "Number Two" car. Thanks for the info - and another thanks to Scott and Vickie for helping to make the evening...

Question re: villain/henchman masks

On the show, were the masks sometimes worn by the villains (Riddler mostly, Penguin occasionally and Joker just in the movie IIRC) and their henchmen made from the same pattern as Robin's, but without the stiffer material? Seems like the others were more form-fitting. I actually sewed up a Robin mas...

Re: If not Astin, then who?

Three possibilities: Ross Martin (very good physical performer and baddie, check out The Great Race ) Jack Lemmon (Again, check out The Great Race - he should've gotten an Oscar for playing Professor Fate) Gene Kelly (never played a villain that I can recall, but I bet he could have. And can you ima...

'66 movie at drive-in in '05 - who were Batman & Batgirl?

Got some video stills from a 2005 showing of the '66 Batman movie at the Mission Tiki Drive-In; besides George and Brett Barris and the Batmobile (can you ID which replica?), there were a couple performing as Batman and Batgirl. Excellent costumes and the guy even looked and sounded like Adam. Were ...

Re: Batmobile & Black Beauty display ad - 1976

That's a great find Karl. Thanks for posting it. It's a shame that they couldn't get the Black Beauty's name right.
Karl? Nope, I'm Chris... :?

Batmobile & Black Beauty display ad - 1976

This was in the Northbrook, IL News-Advertiser of August 6, 1976:

I went there once; wish I'd brought a camera. The Batmobile they had was one with the fuzz all over it.

Re: Life sized comic Robin Display head

Chiming in late as usual, but nice job! It also reminded me when looking at the banner above it, that the the big difference with the comic book Robin is that the mask doesn't cover his eyebrows. I'm not a big comic reader, so can you tell me if that is that a common trait of Robin in the comic books?

Re: Batmobile #1 up for auction

George has a reserve on the car which you can bet is VERY high. I think it may be close to a million if not that much; only thing that may keep him from getting that much is the fact that there enough replicas - including the ones he built for the series - available for someone who wants one.

Re: 2013 LAS VEGAS CAR STARS May 17-18th

Guess he'll be bringing one of the "other" Batmobiles, unless #1 doesn't meet the reserve at Barrett-Jackson (if he does sell it, he'll be able to afford to build four or five more replicas  ).

Re: Holy discovery! Burt Ward personal appearance commercial

Now that I've seen this photo close up, could the costume he's wearing be the same one that was sold at the Profiles in History auction back in '05? I remember that outfit was supposed to have been one he used for personal appearances, and in particular the mask he's wearing resembles the one in the...
