Batmobile & Black Beauty display ad - 1976

This was in the Northbrook, IL News-Advertiser of August 6, 1976:

I went there once; wish I'd brought a camera. The Batmobile they had was one with the fuzz all over it.

Re: Life sized comic Robin Display head

Chiming in late as usual, but nice job! It also reminded me when looking at the banner above it, that the the big difference with the comic book Robin is that the mask doesn't cover his eyebrows. I'm not a big comic reader, so can you tell me if that is that a common trait of Robin in the comic books?

Re: Batmobile #1 up for auction

George has a reserve on the car which you can bet is VERY high. I think it may be close to a million if not that much; only thing that may keep him from getting that much is the fact that there enough replicas - including the ones he built for the series - available for someone who wants one.

Re: 2013 LAS VEGAS CAR STARS May 17-18th

Guess he'll be bringing one of the "other" Batmobiles, unless #1 doesn't meet the reserve at Barrett-Jackson (if he does sell it, he'll be able to afford to build four or five more replicas  ).

Re: Holy discovery! Burt Ward personal appearance commercial

Now that I've seen this photo close up, could the costume he's wearing be the same one that was sold at the Profiles in History auction back in '05? I remember that outfit was supposed to have been one he used for personal appearances, and in particular the mask he's wearing resembles the one in the...

Re: Batman at Museum of TV & Radio TV Festival - year?

Update: I found the program from the event and it was from 1995. Appearing were Adam West, Julie Newmar, Frank Gorshin, Yvonne Craig, and Lorenzo Semple Jr.

So - was anybody else here at the event?

Batman at Museum of TV & Radio TV Festival - year?

Sometime in (IIRC) the 1990s, the Museum of TV and Radio in Los Angeles had a panel discussion of the '66 Batman series as part of their annual Television Festival. The panel had Adam West, Frank Gorshin, Julie Newmar, and William Dozier (Burt Ward definitely did not attend). I was there and had the...

Re: Adam West and Bruce Lee on Milton Berle

Pretty funny stuff - oddly, I could see this as a good Benny Hill sketch. Also note the commercial for Glade air freshener, aka Riddler's sleeping gas spray from the pilot and "Death in Slow Motion".

Re: Robin trunk material?

I have a possible solution, way out of left field: I had to match the color of some windlacing (the part that looks like cloth wrapped around a piece of rope) for a car I was working on. I ended up using vinyl dye for auto upholstery in a spray can. It left the material still flexible if somewhat st...
