Re: SCRIPT: THE FUNNY FELINE FELONIES

Thanks so much for sharing these. The episodes aren't my favorites, but looking at the evolution of the scripts is really enjoyable. A few observations, after perusing all three PDFs: I can't believe Ross's name for the sleazy hotel across from GCPD HQ, the "Hero Inn" (which became the Hotel Sleazy ...

Re: Batman 80th Anniversary Merchandise Coming Soon

The closest I've seen to an animated version of the original Batman look is in "Justice League: The New Frontier." The bat-ears on his mask are shifted upward compared with the Detective #27 appearance, and the lavender gloves are gone, but the round belt buckle and "ear-less" chest insignia are ret...

Not to mention Lisa Seagram, better known to Gothamites as Lila, owner of Lila’s Lilac Shop, 11 Lavender Lane.
And listed earlier in the credits was Jack Kruschen, aka Gotham's top purveyor of doomtraps, Eivol Ekdal.

Re: Jackie Gleason as The Penguin

It's a fascinating "what if." It's hard to imagine anyone owning the role more than Burgess Meredith, but it's fun to imagine what Gleason would have done with the part. Although hiring him would seem to have gone against Dozier's claim, early in the show's run, that casting dramatic actors, not com...

Gotham City Science is a lot like Toho Science (and science in most pop culture ;) ).
Yes indeed. I've sometimes wondered what an actual 12,000 dB pulse would be like. If it were possible, it'd certainly do much more than flush out Bookworm and his twisty goons. :)

Re: Love American Style featuring Bat alumni

Interesting. I had no idea Dozier appeared onscreen anywhere besides his Batman cameo, but IMDB lists 21 acting credits, through 1987. Does anyone know if these were mostly bit parts, or did he have major roles?

Re: Robin, Batgirl and Vietnam

I found several stories about how LBJ signed legislation on Aug. 26, 1965, without any advance warning, that got rid of the marriage deferment for men who were married WITHOUT children. So any man not married w/out kids before Aug. 27 was not eligible. Burt and Bonney Lindsey had gotten married in ...

Fascinating. Does anyone have any knowledge of the draft process and why Burt's divorce would've changed his eligibility status?

Re: The show is streaming on Roku.

I gave a look just for fun. The repetitious ads mean I’ll probably stick to Blu-Ray, at least while I’m home. But it’s worth noting that the “Next week” villain-teaser tags are restored to the ends of the Filmrise episodes.

Re: Behind the scenes footage on ebay!!!

It's fascinating that these exist, but I'm wondering why they do. Can anyone on the board with studio experience explain how snippets of dailies from multiple episodes (and at least two seasons) might wind up on "compilation reels" like these? Would there be any reason to create such things in the c...
