Re: So were any of the 66 villians destined to be awful?

Barbara Stanwyck would have been the perfect casting for Black Widow in terms of having the older woman femme fatale quality.

Re: So were any of the 66 villians destined to be awful?

Ffogg and Peasoup as characters were doomed the way they were written. But you could have gotten a salvagable story from characters like that if you'd given them a MOTIVE that made sense for why they're committing their crimes and to me that would have been simple if they were stealing to cover fina...

Re: So were any of the 66 villians destined to be awful?

The question though isn't one of miscast villains, but bad concepts. Some concepts like Chandell and Minerva can't be separated from their performers because they are simply Liberace and Zsa Zsa playing themselves, so whether they're bad characters or not depends on your view of the performer's vali...

Actually, Adam's supposed interview with Cubby Broccoli about being Bond would have been in 1968 for ...

Re: Bat-Trivia

Here's an item I think not many are aware of. Jill St. John, who was in the Batman pilot was in the James Bond film "Diamonds Are Forever" as leading lady Tiffany Case. But she wasn't the only Batman alumni to appear in the film. Also present was Sid Haig, the "Royal Apothecary" in "The Spell Of Tut...

Beetle Bailey, 3/27/66-"Fatman And Slobber"

I posted this years ago on the old board but it was so far back it's not even there in the archives any longer, so here is an encore of the Beetle Bailey comic strip for March 27, 1966, two months after the series debuted and revealing just how much "Batmania" had taken off in so short a time with t...
