It's nice to know they're remembering Yvonne Craig; she was such a sweet and talented person.

Julie Newmar on Dick Cavett

Howdy Batfolks,

The cable Channel Decades has Julie Newmar listed as one of Dick Cavett's guests on the show to air Tuesday 8/16. It'll run 4 times that day. I don't know in what year this episode originally aired, but one of the other guests is Danny Kaye.

Re: RIP Alan Young aka Wilbur on Mr. Ed

I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Young back in the early 90's. He and Connie Hines were at a book signing at the Crown Book Store in Mission Viejo. He and Ms. Hines couldn't have been nicer and he told some great stories. We got onto the subject of Beverly Hills Cop III and he said that the story w...

Batman-type escape on Scorpion

Howdy Batfolks,

I was watching Scorpion tonight and noticed around the 30:00 minute mark that they used the same method of escaping a room that Batman and Robin used to escape the gas filling chimney stack in "Batman Sets The Pace."

For those interested in checking it out; here ya go.

Re: Batman reference on the Secret of the Sally Bell

On a side note, in the movie "The Fortune Cookie," towards the end of the film, the two men spying on Jack Lemmon's character trying to prove fraud have decided to stop and go home. One remarks that he can make it home in time to watch Batman. Also, one of the men in the scene is Cliff Osmond who wo...

Re: Parodied Names in the '66 series

In the Egghead episode Bruce Wayne mentions to Dick that he had obtained raccoon pelts -- from a raccoon coat he had purchased from "a crooner who'd fallen on hard times". He meant Rudy Vallee, who later played Lord Ffogg! And Maid Marilyn was a takeoff of Maid Marion from Robin Hood of course. In ...

R.I.P. Judy Carne

I just read of the passing of Judy Carne; best known as the Sock-It-To-Me girl on NBC's "Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In." Judy Carne was a very familiar face for those of us who grew up watching TV in the 60's and 70's. A talented actress who always brought a lot of energy to her performances. Here is he...

Re: The Greatest American Hero suit box

My wife was able to make some reversible adjustments to it 2 years ago so our son could wear it to school. It seems more teachers than students recognized it as being the GAH. When he wore it to the mall later that night, he received many compliments on it. http://i897.photobucket.com/albums/ac175/B...

Re: Dean Jones R.I.P.

The other day I was watching Blackbeard's Ghost and was wondering what Dean Jones was doing these days. I'm sorry to hear of his passing; he brought so much talent and entertainment to all those great Disney films. The last feature film I saw him in was Other People's Money. I always knew he was a t...
