Re: TO THE BATPOLES #127: It’s a “Challenge” Just to Sit Through “Legends”
Haven't been able to get on in a while. Most people have already covered what I thought. I remember being highly disappointed with the show when it originally aired. The laugh track bothered me. I didn't like that my comic book heroes were being mocked. Now, I'd be ok with it if the show was funny, ...

Re: The Latest Batman Item You've Acquired?
Not sure why he's in combat mode in the Batcave, but I'm getting an awesome Neal Adams vibe off that second one. Are they pricey? It doesn't specifically say Adams on the packaging, but it has one of his drawings on the inside flap, although it from Odyssey and not the Bronze Age. It was a Gamestop...

I looked for that shirt at my Gameshop and couldn't find one. Still, good pick-up, Keith.
I've only been in Gamestop a couple of times. I didn't realize they sold toys. I did pick up these two Batman statues while I was there.

Re: TO THE BATPOLES #126 Season Three Wrapup: The Problem with Batgirl
I'm going to go with Andy, somewhat...while I wish Batgirl had been a little more heroic, I still enjoy her. Partly, because of my childhood crush on the character and in large part because of Yvonne Craig's performance. Craig does bring a confidence and a feistiness to the role that makes her fun t...

Re: 1970s Batman - Missed Opportunity
I hadn't really thought of Lupus for a 70s Batman, but he does seem to fit the part. For me, I think I always went with the consensus that Clint Eastwood would have been an awesome Batman in the 1970s.

Re: TO THE BATPOLES #125 Minerva: Holy self-parody!
Thanks again for the show, guys. Maybe Dozier was so gung-ho to cast Zsa Zsa because he forgot to play "Know Your Gabor" and confused Zsa Zsa with her look-a-like but much more talented sister, Eva. If you're confused on your Gabor, Eva was the regular on Green Acres, one of my favorite se...

Re: Superman: The Movie Anniversary This Sunday 12/15/19
I live in a small town, so it was probably a few months later when our theatre got the movie. I was only 7 at the time, so I didn't really appreciate the subtly of Christopher Reeve's performance. Still, the movie was an amazing thing to see...such a thrill that it lived up to expectations. My poor ...

Hey, guys, if this was the issue you were mentioning as Penguin's 1st Silver Age appearance, it is reprinted in Batman in the 60s in addition to the Arkham Penguin book. Each book in the Arkham series spotlights a single villain and there are several volumes. http://www.mikesamazingworld.com/mikes/f...

Thanks for sharing. Due to the wig, I never realized until very late in like that Okie Annie was in the Ghost and Mr. Chicken. I don't remember if I recognized her in Roustabout or not.

Batman is one of the series that I rotate watching while I'm eating dinner/supper after I get in from work.

Re: Celebrating 5 years of owning the complete series
I still had my DVDs that I made from when I taped the series on VHS back in 1989. I still remember the thrill of opening the box and getting the show, since I didn't think we ever would. I own the streaming version because it was free with the blu-ray set.

Does anyone know what that photo kit was? I wasn't born until 1971, so I've never seen one. I've seen the ads in lot of my back issues and was always curious about it.

Re: TO THE BATPOLES #123: Dr. Cassandra makes the show disappear
I think most of the jokes about Robin being too young to like women were Ross-isms. Ross did write the line in a Catwoman episode, "You were taking in by her, Batman, but I'm too young for that sort of thing." That is one of my favorite lines that Ross ever wrote. I will say I agree with R...

Re: BATMAN'S COMIC BOOK ADVENTURES
I first read Case of the Chemical Syndicate in the 1984 Oreo giveaway that also reprinted the first Robin story from Detective 38 and the first Joker story from Batman 1. Back then, there weren't a lot of ways to learn about comic book history. I was quite shocked to see Batman killing villains back...
