Exactly - that's how the Joker's bullets bounced off the windshield in The Zodiac Crimes, but it could only withstand so much because "the bullets started getting thicker" - o-KAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY

Re: Zelda straightest episodes?

I think the outfit was somewhat overdone to be a bit "camp". The large stripes, and hat cocked to one side was a bit much. But, I agree, she looked incredible in it. (Although I can't find a still.) The regular Zelda outfit was a bit matronly. I don't even think "Legs" from Ma P...

Re: Zelda straightest episodes?

For better or for worse, I found Anne Baxter a lot more tangible and tolerable as Zelda than I did two seasons further down the road as Olga. Me too. Me three. I like Eggie on his own, Olga just annoyed me, although I thought it was funny when she called our hero "Batooshka" (or "Bat...

Re: Most Dramatic Moment

A few from me, some already have been mentioned: Batman and Robin getting gunned down in public by the blanks. Gordon's staged death. The bomb in the batmobile exploding in the batcave. Batman scaring the crook with his silhouette during Gordon and O'Hara's interrogation. Joker in Wayne Manor, disc...

It always seems to be rather warm there, or else Robin would have frozen to death.

It's the heat of the day - unusual weather we're having, don't you think. :D

Re: May 17th , 2005.......

It's hard to believe it's 10 years. I remember his last tv appearance. It was the Quentin Tarantino directed season finale of CSI in which Nick was buried alive. I guess Tarantino always wanted to do a Batman episode and who better to step in for a cameo than Gorshin himself. Before the show aired, ...

Re: John Astin May Have Noot Been Good As The Riddler, But .

I think it would be a tough call for me to choose a favourite between the silent era, John Astin and the pilot. Not for me - it's the silent era caper for me uber alles. :D Gorshin made me laugh out loud every minute he was on screen, and I've always felt sorry for poor Burt Ward - being forced to ...

I'm getting really curious about Evil Roy Slade as well as I'm Dickens He's Fenster, so I"m getting one from e-bay, and the other from my library - you know, LIE BERRY CAKE! I just saw a bunch of listings for "Slade" on e-bay going anywhere from $2 to $4 - not including shipping, I'm ...

Re: Who has watched all 120 episodes?

I regret that I have only one life for disc watching and am a nerd-cultist fanboy of so many other series:
ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT
FRASIER
MARY TYLER MOORE SHOW
MAUDE
SEINFELD
BIG BANG THEORY

It's going to take quite a while to get to all 120, I'm afraid, but thank goodness they're there.

Re: All you need is Bat-Love!

Catwoman briefly saw potential between Robin and Eenie, but reverted when she realized all boys his age are interested in is baseball. All kidding aside, Lady Prudence actually did fancy Robin - outside of playing both sides against each other, she really felt attracted to him - and he to her. She w...

Re: RIP Grace Lee Whitney

Her life was very full to live to age 85, but even so I think her passing again reveals how harder it is to accept it when its these people from the 1960s who are eternally preserved at the peak of their youth and beauty in high-definition color. It's different from when the famous people from the ...

Re: Actors you wish would have been casted as villains

Peter Lawford would have been incredible. He played a villain who terrorized Robert Wagner in a tv movie right around the time of Batman. It was called "How I Spent My Summer Vacation" and Jill ST John was in it, too.

Might have been good as Sandman.

Wasn't she filming Valley of the Dolls at the time? The two properties were distributed by the same studio. It could very well have been her.

Re: Robin

My favorite segment of the 1949 series was when Bruce is coerced into joining a gang, Robin pops up on the scene, but is overpowered. A bat-fight breaks out, Bruce and Robin escape and it segues to them in the "batmobile". Bruce is concerned that the bad guys are going to gain on them, but...

Re: Sea Hag Fan Fiction

Casting's one thing - I've often imagined other actors playing Batman and Robin, but I won't go into that. However, Anne Francis or no Anne Francis, what about the sets and the scripts? Yvonne Craig was no detriment to the series, I thought she was cute and funny and the idea of a third crimefighter...
