Re: BATMAN PREMIERE Jan 12th Revisited

I only watched part one tonight - I wanted the full experience of what it was like 50 years ago. Here's a few random things I noticed: So many extras - at the Moldavia ceremony, in Gordon's office, at the discotheque. The side exit of Gordon's office. When they are examining the lawsuit in the Batca...

Re: BATMAN PREMIERE Jan 12th Revisited

I really like both ideas! In fact, I was wondering if anyone might be planning on watching all the episodes in order, 50 years after their original air date. Sort of a three year project! I know many episodes have been commented on in the past, but most likely not every one. Perhaps an on going thre...

Re: Hi diddle riddle/Smack in the middle(episode talk)

Since Dozier's comment was brought up, I wanted to share something that falls into that category "Is it just me..." (and which I'm sure others will say - "Yes, it's just you..." ) It's the way he speaks the line "Ringside table Batman?" As a kid, I never understoo...

Christmas Yvonne

Rick Goldschmidt has a Rankin Bass blog, and he posted a very nice Christmas related photo of Yvonne that I have not seen before.

I thought I would share with our members.

Re: Neca 7" 66 Batman and Warner Bros.

I feel a particular irony that I have to purchase a grim and gritty Batman/Superman movie to get the Adam West or Christopher Reeve figures, which reflect a much lighter approach to the characters. I agree - but the good news is, at the Warner Brothers eBay store, you can buy either figure with the...

Re: #1 Batmobile for sale again?

My favorite line...when you click on the Barrett Jackson website: Included with the Batmobile will be historical memorabilia and documentation originally from Barris' private collection, plus items from the current owner's private collection - including a Batmobile pinball machine signed by Adam Wes...

Re: Batman '66 ecards from Hallmark

And when you click on the photos you get a surprise video with each one! You can click on them now without buying them to watch the video! John Right! When the person receives the e-card, the video plays and then your personalized message appears. There are actually only 5 different videos but they...

Batman '66 ecards from Hallmark

Has anyone seen these yet? Hallmark has a line of 1966 Batman ecards. I guess you have to actually have a paid account to send them, but you can look at them all for free. Pretty cool.

Re: "Batman" on TCM

The comment found in another topic about cigarettes falling from Batman's cape got me wondering - does it appear the serial being shown on TCM has been remastered in some way? Does it look better than the DVD?

Familiar Bat riddle popped up today

I got a pleasant surprise this morning - from today's entry in the "308 Really Bad Jokes + 57 Hilarious Puns 2015 Page-A-Day Calendar" - although it's not credited to the Riddler, we all know where this came from... VERY PUNNY Three men on a boat had among them four cigarettes, but n...

I thought I remembered a great thread from the old board about this topic, complete with super screen grabs...and sure enough, I found it:

Terrific reading for the new folks (and a great memory jogger for the rest of us!) :D

Odd expression in The Pharaoh's in a Rut

I just finished watching "The Pharaoh's in a Rut" and at the end, in describing King Tut, Commissioner Gordon says he is "A tragic case, one of the saddest which has ever crossed my ken." I tried looking this expression up, but can't find any references to it. Has anyone every he...
