Re: The Latest Batman Item You've Acquired?

I had mentioned to Mrs Fish how much I liked Slot Car Race sets when I was but a wee lad-- and she surprised me with a great one-- Scooby Doo Vs Batman! And it's the classic 60s Batman complete with my favorite logo. SCOOBY RACE SET 1.jpeg It's got the great cartoon version of my favorite Batmobile...

Re: Bat-Director Robert Butler has died

Wow, 95 and a full career! A full life-life lived if there ever was one! Thank you, Mr. Butler, for setting the course for one of America's most beloved TV series. Also, thank you, Scott, for the very interesting pics and video. For a brief second, I felt a twinge I used to get as a kid back in the ...

This is great! I love all the items, especially the life-size mannequins. I'm really loving that Hawkman helmet in the display case.

Re: Ugly Christmas Sweater Batman

Actually, I don't find that one ugly at all. Not when it has the heroes drawn as they should look and, most of all, they were still allowed to smile and look happy - not all grim and angry like later and now.

Re: This forum is a welcome respite

I know what you mean. 1966 seems like a couple thousand years ago on another planet altogether even though Scott and Ben, almost like archeologists, show us otherwise as with their visits to location sites which prove that world did exist at one time.

Yes, those donuts are what I was talking about. I'm assuming the cartoon images were those edible icing ones as well (forget what they call that kind of icing that comes in wrap layers)? These all look great.

Re: Krispy Kreme Scooby Doo Halloween donuts and the “Mystery” of the “Marvel Mystery”

Oh man, Krispy Kreme Doughnuts... I only ate them once way back in the late '90s when my step-father told me how great they were and that I just had to try them. We went and, sweet Jesus, were they ever rich and sweet! I don't know how they are now, but I couldn't handle them then. I remember feelin...

Re: R.I.P. Mark Goddard

I thought he was great on Lost In Space and now, having recently re-watched the entire DVD set, I just don't understand why he, or the rest of the crew, never threw Dr. Smith out of the airlock! :P As I am also a big Adam-12 fan, I especially liked his guest shot on the season 3 episode 'Elegy For A...

Re: Bat Locations - "Smack in the Middle" Burning Car Scene

Thanks, Ben. I think I can speak for many here in that we're looking forward to it whenever it's finally published. As for 'real life keeps getting in the way'.... How about we start selling T-shirts with that oh-so-true slogan? I think John Lennon said it best when he observed "Life is what ha...

Re: Tweeterhead - Anyone Collect and Will There Be More?

For what it's worth, I did get that Super Powers Batman from Tweeterhead later that summer of 2019. It's top-notch quality and Tweeterhead is going strong again now since then, but their stuff is expensive and, as I've mentioned elsewhere, my collecting has pretty much stopped since my wife passed a...

Re: Bat Locations - "Smack in the Middle" Burning Car Scene

Scott, great job narrating the BTS footage. Thank buddy! I'm trying to remember--isn't there an establishing shot for an ep in which the Batmobile is going someplace and those curved hotel towers are in the background? Does anyone recall that? Ben answered most of that for you. Although... Century ...

Re: Mego 50th Anniversary-- The Return!

Robin was the first Mego I owned, followed by Batman. I first became aware of them by seeing a full page ad in Famous Monsters of Filmland. I think I purchased them at my local Ben Franklin 5 and 10 store. By the by, I found that if you took a twist tie and went around Robin at the wrists, his glov...

Re: BBC Dancing with the stars and Batman tribute

My late wife was a big fan of the American version of Dancing With the Stars and, with me being a big '66 Batman fan, we both would have really enjoyed watching this together if we could have. Thank you for this. I loved the tribute takes from the old film. I wonder if they won?

Re: Flash movie cuts Joker and Penguin

I can't watch any of this. Batfleck was a joke as Ben Affleck always plays Ben Affleck. That, and his costume made him look more like Charcoal Briquette Man than Batman. Wasn't impressed after with Batward and his politically correct movie. Surprised his skin didn't sparkle in the sunlight as whoeve...
