Re: ARCHER episode mystery !!

I think this episode, or story arc, asks us for more than our share of suspension of disbelief. When Batman was challenged to a duel, there seemed to be quite the lapse of time between then and being tied to stakes where they were just supposed to stand there and wait to be lanced. I think they coul...

Re: A possible fourth season of Batman.

I love idea of the gloves concealing darts - it was the first thought I had as soon as I read the villainess's name. When confronted, she could point her finger at them and say something like "now, listen here...." and then zap them before they knew what hit them. I'm not sure how many app...

Would you have been a Bat-fan if the series had never aired?

In another thread, I happened to mention I either wouldn't have heard of or even given two tosses about Batman if the ABC series had never aired. As we all know, an initial screening of the pilot brought in some pretty bad numbers and it was doubtful the series would have happened, but ABC went thro...

Re: Network promo reel has a line I don't remember in the pi

I'm not surprised - trailers and promos are usually rush released while the main feature is in process of editing, and the "shaky" line was probably taken out at the last minute before the episode aired. Plus, the editing could have taken place after the pilot was shown to which ever audie...

Re: I need your help! What episode did.....

It was alittle dark and offbeat. It had the wildest Riddler deathtrap - the spinning wheel - I've always enjoyed that episode. I remember the same painting also appearing in Deep Freeze. The Otto Preminger Mr. Freeze episode. Yes - and that same painting got booed by somebody else - that little kid...

Re: Nitpick questions

[quote="Gleeps, it's Batman"] Uh, so if Robin gets stopped by the cops he's going to whip out Dick Grayson's drivers license? Good point about a license required for each identity, unless Robin gets in touch with his inner Dog-George and suggests the duo manufacture fake ID's. Althou...

Re: Was Burt Ward considered handsome back in his heyday?

Bruce, not to mention Aunt Harriet, would NEVER have allowed our Boy Wonder to sprout facial hair before his third season thrust into manhood - at least until after he obtained his international drivers license in preparation for the trip to Gotham-Lookalike-Londinium.

Re: What's the deal with 1966 Penguin?

It definitely calls for suspension of disbelief. Then again, who's to say how much time has elipsed from Pengy ep to Pengy ep? Catwoman, on the other hand, requires a little more suspension of disbelief because she's presumed dead in the first episode, goes up the river for 7-and-a-half years accord...

Re: Was Burt Ward considered handsome back in his heyday?

Any debate on this issue is rendered moot when you see those squealing, shrieking, screaming teenage girls in the Joker episode where our heroes visit a comedians museum. "LOOK! IT'S ROBIN THE BOY WONDER!" (WAIL!) (I don't know how to spell a scream, so I'll just scream a spell) Uh...Robin...

[quote="chrisbcritter"]One odd thing: Robin gets knocked out by the mesmerizing ray - but then is awake enough for two reaction shots when Batman gets the plaster dumped on him Maybe Robin was just painfully stunned. All the rest of the ray victims just passed out without a word, but Robin...

Holy Sid and Marty Kroft! She was quite correct to sit that one out. I just remembered it first hand as a pretty stupid special, then I saw an excerpt on You Tube and couldn't even sit through it in its entirety. Oh, what a vast wasteland of telly we were all subjected to in the 70's - this, KISS Me...

Re: Say Goodbye to Your Bootlegs!

I have a "masters" set I picked up at a Fangoria convention a few years ago, and I'll hang onto those as this has been the best the series has looked and sounded. I'd bought some other sets that were fairly disappointing and I just gave those away. One thing I'm strongly hoping for is an e...

Re: Batman TV series DVD set in 2014!!

I just went into Amazon and signed up to be alerted when this is available. Actually, I was jubilant when I heard another of my long-time favorite series "Mary Hartman Mary Hartman" was available intact (on 38 discs) and started putting away for it, then the other day, I heard about Batman...

Re: Batman TV series DVD set in 2014!!

Hopefully, it'll be sold in both a complete set as well as individual seasons, so it would be user friendly to us all. When the 2-disc "Holy Batmania" set came out 10 years ago, it sparked off some hope of this very occasion as well as discussions of whether to get "complete" or ...
