Re: Wonder Boy bust sculpture in the works...

Thanks so much Guys!!! He is definitely a challenge. Very subtle plane changes so there is not a lot to hang your hat on. It helps to know that folks here are happy with the way it's going! It has given me a chance to ponder the lives of young actors and models while I sculpt this. As much fun as it...

Wonder Boy bust sculpture in the works...

Hi All, I'm working on a Burt Ward bust to go with the Adam West bust. Still a long way to go but it's getting there. It feels good to be pushing clay! This hair is just place keeping for a wig so I can get the right skull shape. I'm thinking of also making it available with sculpted hair for those ...

That's it Andy.
The fabric aspect of the '66 cowl understandably stymies the majority of modern cowl makers.

So cool Mark!!!
Some of those shots look like screen caps from the show!

I'm sure most of you recognized Mauled Vader as the Klingon. :)

In case you don't know Mark, he is one of the best model makers on the planet.

I'll make it there one day!!!

Re: WS2 1939 cowl shell sculpture

Thanks for the feedback guys! The angle from nose to ear is thankfully an easy trimming job on the shell. I will take a look with it in mind to see how it reads in 3D. Like I mentioned earlier, it works great if the face is proportioned like a Bob Kane drawing. It looks a bit weird on a human. As th...

Yep, lightweight fiberglass shell. Just a few ounces more than our earlier versions.

Re: WS2 1939 cowl shell sculpture

Thanks Lou! The bust I did awhile ago was made to look like one drawing so it doesn't compare to this BUT I am going to sculpt a more comic face for the display of this design. The beak only works if your face is proportioned like a Bob Kane drawing! I just leaned into the bat shapes rather than run...

WS2 1939 cowl shell sculpture

Hi All, Just wanted to give the gang here the first preview of our newest cowl design. The WS2 1939 model. It will be covered in black leather and the ears are incorporated into the shell so it will feature a more seamless look overall. I wanted to embrace more of the bat in the character and not ju...

Re: U of MI Batman & Robin, 2-26-66

Great find!!!

Yep AP put it right together!!

BTW, not a side zip on the vest. An upside down hook to hold the belt in place.

I wonder why they were singled out for the loan? I always wondered if it was a national publicity campaign.

Re: Auction of super collector Greg Jein

Here are a couple more of Stewart's fabric Bat-Boots.
You can see the leather lining and they used velcro over the "soon to be gone" zipper cover flap.

Re: Auction of super collector Greg Jein

The first bat-boots for the show used the batsuit fabric and not leather. The fabric was sealed so we get a good idea of the original color blue of the Batsuit but it looks like they could still fade. The boots were lined in leather but the outside fabric blended in with the gloves, trunks and cowl...

Re: Robin's Homing Transmitter WIP

Sorry, Chuck, but you’ve made an error: as the photo Scott posted clearly shows, the knob is off center on the original. Just like your other items …a bit too good. It’s a sad, sad day for crime fighters in Gotham.😞 Um... BiffPow... that's perspective and parallax in play there, lol. Agree to disag...
