Re: shark repellent can

I'm not sure if this can is the correct size, but it is what I plan on using for my prop.

Re: Using your Batman powers for good.

Besides appearing at Comic Cons and other like functions, I have also appeared at charity functions here in Winnipeg at organized events for groups like Childrens Wish Foundation, Cancer Society, etc. Unfortunately, the rules for visiting in children's hospitals are very different in Canada, much mo...

Whoops! Guess I was mistaken. Sorry, Ben!

But you're right, it is good to see an increase in interest in all things '66 Bat, no matter what part of the world!

Ben...is that you?

It looks our own Ben Bentley made it into a cosplay video from a London Comic Con. Check him out at about the 1:20 mark...

Re: Old School Bat Radio

On the CY replica, the switch is a simple momentary on switch that turns on a light behind the frosted plastic. It looks like the sort of switch you might find at Radio Shack or similar store. The pushbutton cap is round and painted silver. Sorry I can't be of more help but I don't wish to take it a...

I did the bomb thing myself at our local comic con last November. It was a huge hit, everyone loved it!

Re: New to the board

Greetings! You have certainly come to the right place if you are wanting to recreate Adam West's Batman costume! This forum was a godsend when I was looking to make mine and it would not have turned out so great without the resources here or the wonderfully helpful fans who make up the membership. P...

Re: The Latest Batman Item You Acquired?

I was fortunate to acquire a lovely built-up model of the Batboat from one of my local collectibles shops. The previous owner had a modelmaker build up this Polar Lights kit for him and he had just decided to sell it through the shop on consignment. The owner of the store let me know about it and I ...

Re: Batman TV series DVD set in 2014!!

Yes! Good news at last, this really made my day!

So...who's up for a major release party? I certainly plan on celebrating when it comes out. Heck, I hope that I can help promote sales by appearing in costume, just for the sheer joy of it!

Re: Dust and Cowl Care

I use a vintage hat box for my cowl as well. I made a modification to the inside so that a styrofoam wig head would be secure to hold the cowl for travelling. http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y203/excalibr/Bat%20cowl%20case/DSC06892.jpg http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y203/excalibr/Bat%20cowl%20cas...

I highly recommend the series of books compiled by Fine Scale Modeler magazine. They cover everything from basic construction to airbrushing. They have a lot of good advice and tips for the novice builders...like me!

Absolutely jaw-dropping! Looks like you not only knocked it out of the park...you tore the horsehide off of it!!!

Would REALLY love to see pics of it when it's finished!
