I've had mine a couple of days now so not yet had the chance to go all the way through it, but I will say that my first impressions are that it's very good indeed.
There's some magnificent photos within, and the layout and overall feel of the book is first class.

Re: The Latest Batman Item You've Acquired?
I've got all the 4-Square books from the era. There were 3 comic strip ones, Batman and Robin, Batman Vs. The Joker and Batman Vs. The Penguin (they were re-released around 20 years ago along with Batman & Superman, which I don't recall having a 60's release) as well as Batman Vs. The Fearsome F...

Re: All TWELVE Batman films ranked 12th to first
As much as I love Batman '66, I couldn't say it was the best movie of those listed. Sometimes, the '66 concept is better than the realization of it if that makes sense. My personal ranking (of theatrical releases) would be... 1 - Batman: Mask of the Phantasm 2 - Batman '89 3 - Batman Returns 4 - Bat...

Re: LEE MERIWETHER and ADAM WEST reunited...sort of.
The years have been very kind. Such an elegant lady. I love Julie Newmar, and indeed Eartha Kitt, don't get me wrong, but Lee was always my favourite Catwoman due to my exposure of the movie with it being the only thing available for home-viewing for 30 years. It looks like you both had a fantastic ...

Re: The Latest Batman Item You've Acquired?
It's worth watching the recent animated movie version of The Dark Knight Returns.
The whole funhouse sequence is very dark, complete with shootings, stabbings hostage-taking and yes, the sound of the Joker breaking his own neck.

Re: Filmation Batman - 1968
I agree, it would have been good to have appropriate artwork for Warner's DC titles but they rarely do on vintage releases. I think the last 3 Super-Friends releases used this style too. Mind you, The New Adventures of Superman seasons 2 & 3 used the right art on the DVD cover (more or less) so ...

Re: SCOOBY MET BATMAN HOW MANY TIMES??
You're right about it being and episode of Batman: The Brave and the Bold. The episode was called Bat-Mite Presents: Batman's Strangest Cases. It was animated in the same style as the original Scooby-Doo episodes such as having Robin's R appearing on the wrong side in a few shots, colour's the wrong...

Re: Any word on Batman '66 animated movie?
I think, for me, it was the overuse of some of the voice artists. It was obvious (to my older ears) that many of the characters had variations on the same voice. While I agree Adam and Burt were great as always, it was the Joker that really got on my nerves. The way his voice constantly goes up and ...

Re: Any word on Batman '66 animated movie?
While as a general rule, I enjoy all the animated DC titles Warner put out (some more than others), this is by far my most anticipated release. The New Adventures of Batman (Filmation) was pretty bad, despite the voice work of Adam and Burt, but Adam's stint on Superfriends: Galactic Guardians was g...

Re: (Unfortunate) Eaglemoss Update
Yep, I'm in the UK. Those were our latest releases, I subscribe so I get one 2 weeks late and one 2 weeks early so one delivery a month. I posted it up-thread, but feel free to have a look at my collection. It's a few months out of date, and I've rearranged it a few time since but you'll get the ide...

Re: (Unfortunate) Eaglemoss Update
The Catmobile is great. I've just received the Penguinmobile and the Black Widow bike. Seriously, a Black Widow bike. Who'd of thought it would have possible a few years ago, let alone a reality? I love both and to be honest, I think more care and attention has gone into the '66 vehicles even more s...

And finally... http://www.entertainmentearth.com/images/AUTOIMAGES/DC678011lg.jpg The Batmobile from the Filmation Batman cartoons-- I loved these as a kid even though they had Bat-Mite, and loved the earlier ones even more when I discovered them. Wasn't that the Batmobile in the earlier 'The Adven...

Re: Herocross: 1966 Batmobile!!!
Is the Batman figure the same as the Hybrid Metal Figuration Batman? It looks similar but I don't know. I've got the figure already, and the one in the pictures above and the ones on the Herocross website appear to be the same. It's rather unlikely it'll be different I'd have thought. Herocross mus...

Re: Herocross: 1966 Batmobile!!!
I'm totally confused on what the Herocross line is. I recall the Mezco stuff, and Hybrid Metal Figuration, but this seems different. Big Question: Do the wheels move? They're the company that make the metal-hybrid range which is why this Batmobile both goes with, and comes with a '66 Batman figure....
