Re: FTC '66 Batcave coming!!!

Looking at the layout, its using the same floor plan as the Mego Batcave just with different graphics. I am assuming its going to be vinyl covered cardboard like the repro mego one they did That's the charm of it-- the original Mego Batcave was a rework of an Action Jackson set and was later revamp...

Re: FTC '66 Batcave coming!!!

the Mego repro one was 80 bucks and this appears to have a bit more to it so I am betting it clocks in at 100 bucks, too.

Re: FTC '66 Batcave coming!!!

^^^ Its the same two modules with a connector panel added. both ends are the same shape as the Mego style one they produced. FTC is notorious for recycling/ repackaging.

Re: Special guest villain!

Donald Pleasance as Strange is perfect. He'd have done it too. Seems like Telly Savalas would have done a guest shot around that time too.

Re: Special guest villain!

Also bring in Lyle Waggoner as an opposite number kind of villain. Either Catman or something original. Posing as a new crime fighter but really up to no good. Peter Deyell could be the sidekick for some inside fun stunt casting.

I've been about 50/50 on that. Tor Johnson, Montalban, John Saxon, Bronson, John Wayne were all non comedic personalities.

Re: Special guest villain!

I never considered Dawn Wells. She could play evil pretty well in the dream sequences on Gilligan's Island. I think she could have played a pretty good villainess. What do you imagine her character would be? She could pull off the Farmer's Daughter (typecasting of course) character from the BTAS ep...

Re: Special guest villain!

I have in my head Charles Bronson for Deadshot, Joseph Wiseman Lord Death Man, Tor as the Mutant Gang Leader (I know not right timewise, but I still think DKR is really 66 Batman) he'd be the leader of a biker gang called the mutants. The more I think of Michael Dunn as the Dummy the more I like it....

Re: Special guest villain!

^^^ That would work, not sure if she would have done regular tv at that time. I have something in mind for Tor Johnson, too. I tend to try and come up with actors who might have actually done a guest bit on tv or did a lot of TV work at the time. John Wayne did guest spots and I could see him as a o...

Re: Special guest villain!

I think Joseph Wisemen would be good for ra's al ghul, but of course the charecter wasn't created til 1971! That's ok to me its fantasy land anyway. DC retrofitted more than a few into the 66 comic. Bring back J. Carrol Naish as Prince Daka and Lyle Talbot as Luthor from the DC Serials. My pick for...
