Re: Episode Production Order

Looking at my notes on the Season 2 shooting schedule, there appears to be a week-long gap between the Ma Parker and Egghead shows (Fri. Aug 19 through Thu. Aug. 25). Does anybody know what, if anything, they were shooting on those dates?

Re: Episode Production Order

I enjoyed the video, thanks for posting. I was surprised to see how extensive the "pick-ups" shooting was for some episodes. About "Sandman" having its production delayed - a memo exists from Dozier to ABC listing the first eight shows scheduled to be shot for season 2, and in it...

Re: Sonny and Cher

Looks like the Sonny & Cher cameo was filmed during the shooting of the Puzzler episode:

Re: TO THE BATPOLES #137: Yvonne Craig: We get a kick out of this memoir

From December 1966, just a few weeks before she landed the Batgirl gig: "RUDE WELCOME for Yvonne Craig in her home town, Dallas, Tex. She went back to film scenes for a science fiction movie, "Mars Needs Women." Getting out of a car on her way to dinner, she was attacked by a purse sn...

Re: Batman scripts

There are some scripts available for purchase as digital pdf files (they get sent to you by e-mail) from www.scriptcity.com. I also have uploaded my own personal scan of S1 "Fine Finny Fiends" (which is not available from Script City) https://www.dropbox.com/s/gj47xqs8r3s6ibu/Fine%20Finny...

Re: TO THE BATPOLES #134: What’s My Crime? Bob Dozier’s Joker Drafts

We'll never know what issues Semple or the other writers may have read and pulled ideas from, other than the stories that were adapted into episodes. I wish there was some way we could find out. The BATMAN book by Bob Garcia and Joe Desris offers a few clues about where and how Dozier obtained his ...

Apparently Yvonne Craig paid a visit to the real Scotland Yard to promote this episode:

Re: TO THE BATPOLES #129: The Show's Ratings, and Rating "Godzilla"

RE: the shooting dates for "The Purr-fect Crime" and other first-season episodes: The Batman '66 book by Robert T. Garcia and Joe Desris says "The Purr-fect Crime" was filmed in early February. The "final" script for the episode is dated January 26. The book doesn't inc...

Re: TO THE BATPOLES #129: The Show's Ratings, and Rating "Godzilla"

Also for the record, TK commenter SuperMonsterZero, who posted the link back in 2015, had this to say in his post on the subject: "...scroll down and you'll find the section on Batman vs. Godzilla (バットマン対ゴジラ), including that low res page I mentioned, as well as the second half, plus pages from ...

Re: TO THE BATPOLES #129: The Show's Ratings, and Rating "Godzilla"

Years back, a poster at the Toho Kingdm boards posted a link to a Japanese website that *supposedly* features images of two pages from a Toho script or treatment called "Batman Meets Godzilla." That link (www.cyberkids1954.com/toho_script.html) doesn't work anymore, but using the Wayback M...

Re: TO THE BATPOLES #129: The Show's Ratings, and Rating "Godzilla"

Looking over some of the Season 3 budget sheets, I noticed that if you subtract the figures for "General Overhead" and "Contract Overhead," the "Total Direct Cost" for the single S3 episodes averages around $90,000...not far off from Dozier's quoted figure of $87,000 pe...

Re: TO THE BATPOLES #129: The Show's Ratings, and Rating "Godzilla"

About the conflicting quotes regarding the series budget per episode, none of the figures mentioned quite match the figures that used to be available on the late, lamented "Bat Documents" website. In the show's paperwork, the "series budget" for the 2nd season is cited variously ...

Re: How high was the Batpole drop in reality?

The pilot script called for "a series of quick, sharply-angled cuts" to depict "Bruce and Dick sliding down poles inside an enormously deep burnished metal shaft." Per the script: "They seem to grab now and then at bright-colored whatnots suspended from cylinder wall, and we...

Re: TO THE BATPOLES #125 Minerva: Holy self-parody!

About the Dozier & Horwitz cameos - the Call Sheet for the third day of shooting on this episode lists them as playing the parts of "Mr. Monroe" and "Customer". The scene in Gordon's office, where Gordon discusses the robberies, had been filmed two days earlier, hence the nee...
