Re: My Ranking of the '66 Molls
Have to disagree strongly on Finella as "just eye candy" because Julie Gregg gives a legitimately brilliant acting performance as a dippy Monroe type moll that is nothing at all like her actual persona was (which often can't be said of a lot of moll actresses who are basically being typeca...

Re: TO THE BATPOLES special: "MOVIN' WITH NANCY"
To me, the special succeeds for the most part. It captures the Zeitgeist of the era and Nancy demonstrated why she was a meteor who found her niche within that Zeitgeist thanks to the image makeover she got from Lee Hazlewood and the arrangements he did for her. The image of Nancy as a kind of rebel...

Re: My Favorite Bat66 Cameos!
The explanation for the Klink cameo I think was the fact that both shows shared the Desilu backlot so he was "available". The one thing bizarre about Sammy Davis Jr's. window cameo is that he's inside the same building as Clock King's hideout! (and why is Dick Clark in police headquarters??)

Re: Arlene Dahl dies at 96; Was offered Marsha role
Here's the document in question confirming the offer was made to Dahl.
My favorite role of hers was "Journey To The Center Of The Earth" which also has Alan Napier in a small part.

Re: Things you didn't notice or remember until seeing the DVDs
I previously did a thread matching specific buildings in the 40 Acres backlot to what we see in the episode. The quonset huts are the ones from "Gomer Pyle USMC" and also recognizable are a number of buildings that were originally built for "Gone With The Wind" when this was the ...

Re: Linda Gaye Scott (Moth) is starting up a podcast
I'll be looking forward to it. As the years go by and fewer and fewer are left to offer their reminiscences it'll be great to hear her perspective. She was an interesting presence in a lot of shows in the late 60s and early 70s, including "Green Hornet" and also the movie "Westworld.&...

Re: Famed designer Nolan Miller freelanced on Batman
Yes, I see the confusion. The video at the top is Pt. 8 of 12 of Miller's interview but the video that contains his remarks about "Batman" is Pt. 5 of 12 of the overall interview at the 7:45 mark and when you hit the hot link further down the page you're being taken to the spot in Part 5 w...

Batman Influence in 1966 Nancy Sinatra Performance
Here's an example of how much the Batman phenom was sweeping the nation during Season 1. May 1966, Nancy Sinatra perform the title song from her movie "Last Of The Secret Agents" (which she appeared in with the comedy team of Marty Allen and Steve Rossi) on the "Ed Sullivan Show"...

NY Daily News-August 15, 1967 (Visit to Bat Set)
NY Daily News TV critic Kay Gardella visited the "Batman" set during the filming of "The Ogg Couple" (erroneously titled "Odd Couple" in the article) and wrote this feature where she interviewed both Anne Baxter and Neil Hamilton. Baxter describes how much she enjoyed t...

Re: TO THE BATPOLES #150: “The Astrologer”: The Proto-“Zodiac” Script
Seeing the original script kind of clarified for me why in the final three-parter Venus is a bit more schizoid in terms of jumping ship from starting to go sympathetic in the end of Part 1 to abruptly doing Joker's bidding again in Part 2 because the script was making of using Kandel's original scen...

I'd forgotten she was married to Ilya Salkind, producer of the Superman movies (her mother Phyllis Thaxter played Martha Kent in the first Superman film).

If SRR had written the episode where he made his unbilled cameo, the name of his character I am convinced would have been Ballpoint Penn.

Re: Casting Suggestions for '66 villians
Stanwyck would have been the perfect BW. And like Clu Gulager, she actually would have been available since there are a number of "Big Valley" episodes where she doesn't appear (a spotlight for another cast member) so working around that schedule wouldn't have posed the kind of problem tha...

Re: Casting Suggestions for '66 villians
Hench moll types (with the exception of Nancy Kovack) I just can't see as a lead female guest, especially when they have no resumes of being a lead in anything.
