Re: Question about Batman Costumes on the show vs the comics

Purple and Green were popular at that time at both Marvel and DC because they were colors that printed vibrantly with the flax process, and pretty much came out the way you expected them to. In those primative printing days of cheap paper too you would often get bizarre results. Just prior to the sh...

Re: Favorite Batmobile?

If you're talking comics-- I love the 1940s and 1950s Batmobiles-- but if you're talking live action there is only one Batmobile in my opinion-- the 1966. The rest of them are just pale imitations.

Re: Question about Batman Costumes on the show vs the comics

That Green suit was the comics version of the TV Series Catwoman costume. It came after the show. In those days of primative comic printing they tinted black-- that's why Bruce's hair is blue. They opted to have Catwoman's suit tinted green. When filmation did their cartoon (again, after the show) t...

Re: Batman Live

A few years ago a good friend of mine was Batman at Six Flags and he performed in a 'stunt' show which pretty much involved swinging in on a zipline, jumping through an open flame and bouncing on a trampoline while lip syncing to a pre-recorded bit of dialogue. He needed a night off and I got to fil...

Re: The Boy Who Loved Batman (book) Long read

I read it and I've spoken with Mike in the past-- he loves the character which is what brings us all here in the first place. He doesn't hate the show-- he hates what the show became and how they made Batman a clown in the later episodes. As much as I love Batman in surfer trunks I have to agree-- i...

Re: Hello

I'm diggin' it but there are some things I miss about the old board.
I certainly appreciate all the work that went into this-- it's much more sleek than the old one.

Re: The Latest Batman Item You Acquired?

Finally digging to the bottom of the box of those Ben Novack costumes we bought months ago-- found this-- listed as a Lewis Wilson Batman Cowl-- its actually pretty nice. Was planning on putting it on eBay but I think I'll keep it unless we get what we're asking for it in the store.

Re: The Latest Batman Item You Acquired?

Welcome BatBrain--- the '49 serial is a blast and the '43 is my favorite version of Batman put to film. I remember the old VHS tapes too-- the DVDs are much improved quality wise.
Glad you decided to post.
