Re: TO THE BATPOLES podcast -- The Impractical Joker/The Joker's Provokers

I gave Cornelia a place on this blog for villainesses, and wrote about the episode more generally there a while ago -

Re: PRETTIEST BAT-MOLL ?????

Glacia Glaze - really "Emma Srunk". Parrish should have worn this outfit as Glacia! A fair few weren't smitten with old Bats - Molly, Undine, Lydia, Chickadee, Chandell's trio, Betsey Boldface, Anna Gram, Cornelia, Cleo Patrick, Queenie (who put on an act to try to escape), Nora Clavicle a...

Re: PRETTIEST BAT-MOLL ?????

I don't think anyone mentioned Diane McBain. Diane was incredibly beautiful in the 1960s. I would also nominate Sivi Aberg. There are so many to choose from.

Re: The top Bat-records of 1966!

Mike and Bernie Winters - "That man Batman" (1966) that man batman.jpg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KLCoqYeyvvU I actually have this record. Mike and Bernie Winters were a pair of English comedy brothers (well Bernie was the comedian, Mike the straight man), popular on TV in the 1960s. ...

Re: ADAMS t,v appearances??

Adam's most significant TV exposure prior to "Batman" must have been in the series "The Detectives starring Robert Taylor" (1959 - 1962). When this show was expanded to an hour for the 3rd and final season (1961 - 62), Adam West was cast as Sgt Steve Nelson (partnered by Sgt Chri...

Re: Liberace Ratings Myth

I rather like the Liberace episodes, though the pianist is terrible as the evil twin, Harry. I love the absurd way Dick and Bruce analyze a concert performance in detail from memory and realize something is wrong from that. I like the guarding of a Chandell concert by the police with the machine gun...

Anna Gram hench moll now profiled on the EB Wikia board

Anna Gram, as played by Deanna Lund in Batman's anniversary/A riddling controversy, has now been added to the TV show villainess profiles on this board.

Re: Bookworm! Giant cookbook! General awesomeness!

I've listened to your commentary. I too think this was one of the best arc's and it was a shame there were no further appearances by Bookworm/Roddy. I think Bookworm is the best villain created specifically for the show. These episodes are the source of the myth that Joan Crawford appeared as "...

Re: Batman '66 molls on the Evil Babes Wiki

It's a work in progress and potentially has thousands of entries. I didn't create it and have nothing to do with its admin, but I've contributed quite a number of pages from the beginning. Anyone can write a new page, or add to existing ones, comment on the entries, put in new pictures. The amount o...

Re: Batman '66 molls on the Evil Babes Wiki

Mothie tells Riddler it seems a shame as the Dynamics are being lowered into the wax vat and an annoyed Riddler says she needs to toughen up to be a criminal - indicating it isn't the first time he's had to tell her that. She is disturbed and shuddery over the medieval implements of torture in the m...

Batman '66 molls on the Evil Babes Wiki

There are a number of the molls/henchwomen included on this Wiki which exists to "celebrate" fictional female villains (the "babe" word makes it biased against unattractive villainesses!) The criteria for inclusion on the Wiki is that the characters should be - "Villains, no...

Re: Anyone here old enough to remember the original run?

Yep. It was shown in England and I can still recall seeing the first episode and being slightly spooked by the gas masks on the Riddler gang.

The British comic I used to get, "Smash", ran the Batman newspaper strips, which were very much in the style of the TV show.

Re: Molls: Who was the most effective?

Clearly Blaze abandons evil doing - she reacts against the villainy of False Face. She goes straight. Quite a number do this - such as Susie (Donna Loren - who I don't count as a "moll" exactly) , probably Moth (Linda Gaye Scott -who gets squeamish and tells Batman she's "learned her ...

Re: So were any of the 66 villians destined to be awful?

Evans as the Puzzler does do some Shakespeare quoting - "these caterpillars of the commonwealth.. "etc is one I remember.
