Re: Is the Tim Burton Batman on it's Way to Being Forgotten

Batman Returns is everything I disliked about Batman on steroids. Or Venom. Here's Penguin running for mayor with not one/tenth of the wit of the 60s episode. Did you enjoy ineffectual Batman from the first one? Here he is again, in time to rip his rubber cowl off and get shot by Shrek. Who? I don't...

Re: Is the Tim Burton Batman on it's Way to Being Forgotten

SPOILERS FOR ANYONE WHO HASN'T SEEN THE KEATON BATMAN MOVIE: I think the potential to have a good movie was there. Well, actually, I think Michael Keaton did a really good job as Batman and Bruce Wayne, he seemed eccentric enough that he could be the Dark Knight. I liked that he wore glasses as well...

Re: Has MeTV cut anything besides Lesley Gore's 2nd song?

I don't know if anything else has been cut, but they should speed up the episodes, the opening credits and fight sequences are much too slow.

Re: Rating the Bat-Traps

Which death trap was the most clever? ---the Mousetrap, I think. Maybe the griddles, too. And her two traps in her first appearance. The Buzzsaw as well since it was a decoy trap. Which death trap was the most evil? ---Catwoman's Amazing Maze, though I'm stretching it here. It's not really a death-t...

Re: Say Goodbye to Your Bootlegs!

I wonder what, if any, special features will be available? It would be great if they included the original shooting scripts in some form on the discs, especially the early versions and treatments, though I don't know if that would be at all realistic and doable.

Re: "Fine Finny Fiends"....Changes From Script To Production

That is interesting, thanks for sharing this info. The escape from this death trap is one of the least interesting of the whole series. I agree, using the balloons for air would've been better than what they showed; though if he could've done that, why not just untie him and Robin and escape the roo...

Re: Marsha Queen Of Diamonds

Holy Bat-Qualifiers! It's been a while since I've seen these episodes but I'll venture forth nonetheless. I quite enjoy this story, particularly the first part through to sometime after Batman gives his encouraging speech to Robin after rescuing the Boy Wonder from Marsha's cage. I suppose I even li...

Re: Evil Catwoman vs. Lovesick Catwoman

I enjoyed the "evil" Catwoman of Season 1 quite a bit but can also appreciate the lovesick Catwoman too. Now that I think about it, maybe Bruce as parole officer happens in her last appearance, the college episode...I don't recall.

Re: Evil Catwoman vs. Lovesick Catwoman

It's been a while since I've watched these but I think this episode end with an epilogue where Bruce Wayne meets Catwoman as her parole officer and her actions and dialogue demonstrate more of the lovesick Catwoman.

Re: Evil Catwoman vs. Lovesick Catwoman

I disagree. I feel that CW may have wanted not to shoot Batman in order that she may continue to sexually torture him yet another day, which she obviously enjoys. Yes, deep down she may have some feelings for Batman but the very fact that she chooses to continue her life of crime shows that villainy...

Re: A possible fourth season of Batman.

I like some of those suggestions for a fourth season; but I'd have kept Robin as a regular and had Batgirl as an occasional special guest star. Aside from the Filmmation, Superfriends, and 70s Batmite cartoons, most iterations of Batman have him without Robin; it would be refreshing to have returned...

Re: What's the deal with 1966 Penguin?

A couple points. Although Burgess Meredith's depiction of the Penguin was excellent, he's of my least favorite villains on the show. I just didn't care for the majority of the Penguin stories. While I think they went the Penguin goes straight route too often, the episodes when he runs for mayor, are...

Re: The ME-TV BATMAN Episode Discussion Thread

I could see Burt getting burned by the fireworks but the tigers seem unlikely, it's like using a real shark in the motion picture. I suppose it could've happened but it seems doubtful.

At the same time, I appreciate the people who uploaded episodes to youtube for everyone to enjoy while the proper episodes languished.
