Re: Johnny Green Dies
Sorry to hear. My condolences to his family and friends. His band's performance on the season 3 surfing episode captures a moment in time we all wish we could go back to.

Re: Mego 50th Anniversary-- The Return!
I can identify with Randy, but with a twist. We had a guy named Goulardi in Cleveland late night Friday showing and mocking scary movies. You will know him better as Ernie Anderson, the voice of ABC. Anyway he used to blow up toys on the show, like GIJoes and Aurora models. Needles to say, my talki...

Re: Mego 50th Anniversary-- The Return!
I only had the one Batman because my dad hated anything about action figures be it Mego, G.I. Joe, Johnny West, Big Jim, The Six Million Dollar Man, etc. He went absolutely ballistic ruining Christmas morning for everyone when I got both the Evel Knievel stunt cycle and scramble van. Ah, good times...

Re: Mego 50th Anniversary-- The Return!
Sprang I was with you, Green Arrow was the best figure in Mego's whole line, but it was also pretty close to the last one they made. I'm cool with Green Lantern, but if you want him to be like the other 1972 figures, give him a removable mask and oven mitts! You lost me with your slight of Tarzan--...

Re: Batgirl Movie Cancelled
I concur with most here about watching the 'old days' and finding them way more satisfactory than anything that factory of monumental incompetence called 'Hollywood' has churned out for the last 20 to 25 years or so. Actually, at this point it's not even just the superhero stuff, but EVERYTHING (IMH...

Re: NEAL ADAMS RIP
He was, and always will be, my favorite comic artist. I'm glad I got to meet him at an Ottawa ComicCon a few years back. I not only got some great pictures with him and some autographed prints, but he invited me to come around the table and sit next to him while he discussed his opinions on the comi...

Holy GTA 5, Batman!
Not sure if this belongs here or the Off Topic Lounge. In any event, I'm a huge GTA 5 fan having and playing the original game and other versions. For those who don't know, the original is a crime story mode that you follow along. It's sort of like a crime movie on TV only you're actively in it. At ...

Looks like a big, real-life Corgi Batmobile.

Re: Batmobile ..the REAL color
I gotta say I never dug any of the pink on the show except for the Riddler's mask, belt, and gloves. They somehow worked in contrast to his green outfit.

Re: Not excited AT ALL about upcoming film "The Batman"
At this stage in history Batman has so many "variations" I am of the mind the character now officially qualifies as having MPD.

Re: Mezco 12 Pts Golden Age Batman
Hey cdub, I don't lament my collection as I said I have half of it displayed. I lament my lack of space to display all of it. Collections start out simple enough but then you see something else, and then something after that, and then pretty soon - after a number of years - it can become monster-lik...

Re: Ben Cooper Mego Batman - finally
I had the 2nd iteration of this costume. Picked it up at W.T. Grant's store in Union Lake, Michigan back in '71. Fond memories of the costume with the cloth cowl/ears and the domino mask that came with it. Wish it would have had the original mask which was super-cool looking but, whatever... Very te...

Re: Mezco 12 Pts Golden Age Batman
Yeah, my Bat collection is somewhere in the area of over 2,500 items. Half of it is displayed (at least maybe up to half) but the rest is boxed up in the basement storage room. I'd love to get this, and the Robin when it comes out, and I'd love to invest in the Jazzinc. Batmobile as well as I have t...

Re: Not excited AT ALL about upcoming film "The Batman"
I'm tired of Warner Bros. still insisting on portraying Batman as Darth Vader with pointy ears . Add to that, Warner Bros. hasn't caught on that their modern concept of Batman has been a total washout. Bale's 007/Vader started to falter by that trilogy's last film, Batfleck didn't sell and neither w...
