Re: Who bought TV rights, networks or studios?
According to the Green Hornet Book by Martin Gram, Dozier acquired the rights to Dick Tracy as a possible mid-season replacement for the Green Hornet series which looked like it was going to be dropped by ABC after 17 episodes When the Hornet series got extended to a full season Dick Tracy got put a...

Re: Anyone here know someone from any of the Star Treks?
Yes, a musician friend of mine Eden Kane (Rick Sarstedt). Rick was in many episodes including the first episode of TNG where he was piloting the ship. In the UK he's best known for his #1 hit 'Well I Ask You' and his brother was Peter Sarstedt who wrote and recorded 'Where Do You Go To My Lovely'. h...

Re: The day Adam West visited the West End
Alas Dell, I was heading over to meet friends so couldn't hang around.
Ben, the reaction to Adam when he arrived was similar to what pop stars receive. You'll know how busy the traffic gets around there but... people didn't care. They just swarmed across the road around him! Quite a sight.

The day Adam West visited the West End
I don't know what made me think of it today but a memory flashed up in my mind of coming across a very excited large gathering of people in Oxford St, London over 30 years ago. Oxford Street is usually very busy on the quietest of days but on that particular summer's day (July 16th) there was a huge...

Re: Logo Color questions
The yellow backed logo first appeared in 2 comics dated May 1964 which means they would have hit the stands in March that year. Juilius Schwarz was given 6 months to save the Batman titles whose sales had been in decline. Detective Comic #327 and World's Finest #141 both feature the 'New Look' logo ...

Re: Radio Program Gas Gun Prop
Replying torsaffle. Certainly would recommend it. The authors were granted access to just about everything the Green Hornet Inc have including un-produced stories for further episodes of the 1066-67 series. One of those was written by Bruce Lee himself. The only things that survive from the tv pilot...

Re: Radio Program Gas Gun Prop
Looks great. I understand from Martin Grams and Terry Salmonson's definitive Green Hornet book that is actually from the 1952 pilot TV show that George Trendle paid to have produced himself. Both the original prop and film are lost so it's quite exciting to see your accurate reproduction.

Re: Kevin Smith's GH Season 1 Outline
It's actually been a dream of mine for a long time to have a Green Hornet series that would have B:TAS series feel to it.
Like you Ben, I'm very much looking forward to seeing some character artwork.

Re: Kevin Smith Developing New Green Hornet Animated Series
Very interested in this project! I had discussed with the folks attending one of our Video Bat Chat's over the last few months that I would love to see a Green Hornet animated show in the BTAS/Art Deco style. That's been my hope for nearly 30 years Ben, ever since the animated series aired. It does...
