Re: The Latest Batman Item You've Acquired?

Just got this really nice coffee table book (if that’s still a term) of Batman: The Animated Series. https://i.imgur.com/vtNIvex.jpg The ‘Look Inside’ section of the Amazon link has better pictures of the art inside than I can take. The artwork is beautiful and the presentation on each page is equal...

Re: Not excited AT ALL about upcoming film "The Batman"

Just a friendly heads up. Let's ease off on possible spoilers and Easter eggs at his time. Let people who are going to see it "experience it" without foreknowledge of such things. The pleasant surprises and nods. After a month or so, folks can then compare those kind of notes. Thanks. Loo...

Re: Nightwing 66 Batman Homage

Love it! I see a few on ebay and they aren’t price gouging. There’s a sizable comic book store in town. If I can’t find it there, I’ll go the eBay route. Nightwing is one of the few comic books I’ve followed thoroughly. I remember all those incarnations, so this would be nice to have and frame.

That twin engine is one of the more realistic aspects of the Batmobile to come along in years.

Re: Allan Moore's Gone Off - AGAIN

As Ben said, there is a very big difference between enjoying an occasional episode of a TV show from childhood vs actively trying to live within that childhood as an adult. As far as Moore’s take of infantilism in the genre, I can see some of that, but not nearly at the level he’s decided is the cas...

Re: Diecast (Hot Wheels, Corgi, Matchbox, etc.) appreciation thread

Man, I haven’t been in a non-food store in months. Keeping tabs on a Facebook Hot Wheels group I’m in though. With a little luck, the racks aren’t getting picked clean while I sit on the bench for a bit. I like that 66 take alot. Hoping I can find it soon. I check on the few trips I’ve made to the g...

Re: One Down...

I’ve always liked Lee’s work on Batman. No doubt he leans heavily on the Golden Age and Modern Age suits and colors, but his take on New Look and Bronze Age is fantastic. He’s even done an awesome take on the TV show version. If they would have done the recent 66 series of comic books with his artwo...

Re: First Look - Battinson Revealed

I’ve been hopeful about Pattinson as Batman and I continue to be. He seems a great choice for the character. Certainly has the talent, the looks, and the jawline under the cowl. I’ll echo the earlier statement that it’s nice to see the more open faced cowl instead of that silliness Bale wore. Regard...

Re: Diecast (Hot Wheels, Corgi, Matchbox, etc.) appreciation thread

Went to Target today to look for Hot Wheels. Man, slim pickings is an understatement. They only had maybe 8 pegs and only a few cars on each. No Batmobiles. However, they did have this 1/24 scale metal Batmobile. It was very nice looking and nicely detailed. If I had to guess, maybe two pounds, abou...

Is that box a reproduction that’s for sale somewhere or are there high-res jpgs I can download and make my own?

It’s only missing Robin. Batman is in there, just hard to see.

Re: Diecast (Hot Wheels, Corgi, Matchbox, etc.) appreciation thread

A coworker gifted me this vintage Corgi Batmobile earlier today. This is the same guy who made me the birthday card I posted last year. This was in a box of Batman collectibles he purchased. He came to my office and said he had enough Batmobiles and knew I was a collector. He’s aware of the value, b...
