Re: Bat-Director Robert Butler has died

From IMDB: Trivia Michael Zinberg credits Butler with having the ruthless, adventurous, innovative vision that produced the powerful pilot episode of Hill Street Blues (1981) that sold NBC, and network president Fred Silverman on green-lighting this landmark urban-cop series. Quotes [on making Hill ...

Re: Did anyone install Batpoles?

I did think of it when building my house, but figured wifey would veto it. Plus, there was no obvious place to put it that wouldn't require substantial redesign of our floor plan. Would've been a great way to get to the basement though. The one Bat feature I would have used regularly.

Al Jaffee died April 10th at age 102

I'm sure most of you recognize the name, but in case you don't he was a long time cartoonist for Mad Magazine. A brilliant cartoonist.

The Lady, or the Tiger?

Most of us will recognize this as the choice Catwoman gives to Batman in The Purr-fect Crime. I watched Jeopardy tonight and it was one of the clues. Not the Batman episode, the original situation which comes from a short story by Frank R. Stockton in 1882. Basically, a king used this setup to deter...

Very nice. It's great that you guys are identifying these locations. Looks like the road hasn't seen much maintenance in the last 50 years other than the addition of curbs.

Re: How about...

I pop in and read the posts in this GH subforum because they pop up on the new posts list. If I have something to add I make a post. I don't think I would ever visit a dedicated Green Hornet forum because it just doesn't interest me enough. Just being honest and not trying to be negative.

Re: Things you didn't notice or remember until seeing the DVDs

Why would the sign say "300-foot drop". Wouldn't "High Cliff" be a better warning? Or maybe, 'Careful, that's quite a drop''. Road crew: "Hey boss, we put up the '300 foot drop' sign out on Sebring Point." Boss: "Aaaaghhh... That's only a 283 foot drop. Take it dow...

Re: Batcopter kit

Another option might be to get someone to design the wings and 3D print them. They seem like a pretty straightforward shape that wouldn't be very difficult to design. (Note: I have never designed anything for 3D printing). Some of the stuff I've had 3D printed is far, far, far more complicated than ...
