Re: The Latest Batman Item You've Acquired?

From whom did she steal it? Museum? Jewelry store? Wealthy socialite with display cases? Does the piece have any history or special meaning besides just monetary value? The flashback is deliberately vague. "30 years ago..." (in comic time). It seems to be in a museum with many jewellery a...

Re: McFarlane Toys doing Batman 66 figures?

I don't believe it is part of the Batman series, but they are doing Action Comics Superman. Can Detective comics Batman be far behind? Cool! Funko did this one in the smaller scale. When I bought it on eBay, the seller included a bonus enamelled pin that came with it. (Sadly, I lost the hat I had p...

Re: McFarlane Toys doing Batman 66 figures?

I think that whatever the reason YC's likeness wasn't used, It's her estate's loss. It was Yvonne's choice not to have an "in perpetuity" clause in her agreement. And her Estate has never been approached by DC Comics to attempt to renegotiate. McFarlane can't do the approach. They can onl...

Really? McFarlane Batgirl fills the whole bubble in the pics and she seems taller than the Batman figure in that wave.

Re: McFarlane Toys doing Batman 66 figures?

I am really torn but will probably resist the McFarlane Batgirl. I have the Mattel Batgirl loose, and another one in the Terrific Trio boxed set. Plus, I already shortened my McFarlane Eartha Catwoman to scale her better with Mattel Batgirl. I do love the pose in McFarlane’s pic of his Batgirl thoug...

Re: Unusual '66 Bat toys on auction

Somewhere in a box, I have Batman, Robin and villains rubber stamps of similar style. Mine were bought in the early 80s, on a card, and behind a plastic bubble. The stamp pad in the set was hopeless: just a thin container with a piece of sponge and no functional ink, but the stamps were great. As a ...

Hmm. That seems like a stretch, not to mention obtaining the right to use Gene Winfield's Reactor (the season 3 "Catmobile" minus the garish "cat" add-ons) as the base of the vehicle.
Eaglemoss did a licensed model of the Eartha Kitt Kitty Car. Very cool!

Funko Soda Today I found the "Batman '66" Funko Soda here in Sydney! Different to the previous one, which was comics Batman (of the 70s?). https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/52902660795_0925c93aef.jpg Funko Soda Batman 1966 front by Ian McLean , on Flickr https://live.staticflickr.com/65...

Re: McFarlane Toys doing Batman 66 figures?

Ian, the “Batman unmasked” that you mention, is that the same as the “to the Batcave” Batman? If so, I do not remember a trophy in that set. Was there a different set put out by Mattel? Yes, I mean the “To the Batcave” set with the accessories of Batcomputer one side and Wayne’s desk on the other. ...

Re: World globe for the Wayne Manor Library playset

Great idea! Frankly, in my opinion, one is as accurate as the other, so if you want to just use the pencil sharpener, I think it would add a touch of realism. Yes, will need tin-snips to get the globe out and turn it around, then repair the axis. I assumed I could just pop it out and replace. But i...

World globe for the Wayne Manor Library playset

Contemplating how to make use of this “vintage” pencil sharpener (left) that I found recently in a second hand store. It wasn’t till a few days later that I realised that the metal world globe on it was assembled upside down. Not easily disassembled. The plastic globe accessory (right) in the new “B...
