Re: Big Bat Theory

Huge fan of the show, watch it regularly, probably five or six episodes a week, seen them all a hundred times over. I get where people find Sheldon annoying, as do his friends in the show. If you watched it enough, aside from him occasionally getting his comeuppance, you see that he cares deeply fo...

I pass near a Kohls on my work commute. Looks like I'll be a few minutes late tomorrow. I already have three of that shirt, but it's still worth it just for the tin. Awesome.

Re: Julie's "Catwoman" costume in the Smithsonian looks wrong!

The suit in the Smithsonian case is very different from what we see in the show. Casual fans may not notice, but we would.

Cat woman's suit in the show has a Jewel neckline, a Wedding Band collar, and zips in the back. Not sure what the story is with the Smithsonian version.

Re: King Tut/Victor Buono: What's your opinion?

It seemed by "Shoot a Crooked Arrow" the die was cast. Starting off the 2nd season with the worst episode up to that point, Art Carney badly miscast, and the script bulging with some of Stanley Ralph Ross' worst writing -- and that's really saying something! Basically it was Bill Dozier &...

Re: New website about th 50th Anniverary get togethers !!!

I hope they work in an Austin appearance. After all, the film did have its world premier here at the Paramount. It's still in perfect condition and used regularly for big events. In fact, celebrating its 100th anniversary this year. In the About section of their site, they mention the Batman world p...

Re: The Latest Batman Item You've Acquired?

Just picked it up a few minutes ago. I walked across the street from my office to send a gift FedEx and it caught my eye on the way out. They have a small rack of novelty items. They seem a little out of place in FedEx, but no complaints here. They had a few Hallmark ornaments, but no Batman. They a...

Re: You know you're too much of a Batman 66 fan when...

With some regularity, this statement plays in my head when something is going perfectly to plan: "It's delicious!". Along the same lines, if something is giving me a hard time I often say this to myself: "That unconstitutional device!" *edit* I also imagine there are a fair numbe...

Re: Need help identifying a cast member

According to the site Actorole, here are most of his appearances. Always as an unnamed character, but some are fairly specific or at least a role where he might be the only one in a scene (diamond cutter, bailiff, elevator starter, etc). A little detective work and we can find him. I have every epis...

Re: George Barris 1925- 2015 R.I.P.

In keeping with the newest direction of the conversation; No way we ever have someone affect pop culture at that level again. It's a hyper-connected world these days, with pop culture coming at people from ten times the outlets and at ten times as often (at least). It's the same reason there will ne...

Wife just told me. Strange, I took the day off today (contractor in the house) and I watched eight episodes. I thought the same thing I've thought for fifty years: Best Batmobile ever.

RIP Mr Barris. You shaped my world. Even my screen name is a Batmobile reference.

Re: DC Comics Is Entitled to Copyright on Batmobile, Appeals Court Rules

I'm shocked the guy thought he could get away with it. Building a generic cool black car and calling it a Batmobile is one thing (sort of). Building cars that are exact replicas of cars used in a TV series and two films? How could he possibly think DC-Warner Bros wouldn't take notice?

For the record; That hand-drawn sign is for a place called The Hideout and it's just a few doors down from The Paramount theater, which (as we all know) is where the 1966 film had it's premier.

(I live in Austin).
