Re: Original Wail of the Siren concept/story outline
Having Siren make a cryptic remark that suggests she's older chronologically than she looks is the way one plays the otherworldliness with the right level of subtlety. Write her a line reminsicing about the good old days on Olympus and then your whole sense of imagination goes out the window and su...

Re: If not Astin, then who?
I think people's perception wasnt just that Astin wasnt Gorshin but that he basically looked like and played Gomez Addams The anniversary story was actually quite good, fans seem to like it and the 'underwater' fight is a neat touch I kind of liked Astin's take on Riddler, but that's a fair point. ...

Re: A Question of Degrees
I think that had ABC-TV added a fourth season and new Villains/Villainesses such as Poison Ivy,The Sea Hag and The Tiger Shark from the 1966 Batman Topps Cards Series, etc.,Batman would have gotten "back on track" with the TV ratings. I'll give you Ivy as a villainess who could have helped...

Re: Original Wail of the Siren concept/story outline
If the Ring Around the Riddler contained less of the Siren, I'd be interested what it the outline got chopped out to make room for more of her. Nothing really. The original outline hadn't detailed the Batgirl/Riddler confrontation yet, saying only that once BG figured out Riddler and Mushy Nebuchad...

Cesar Romero as the clown has to be from Bonanza because I recognize Dan Blocker as the other actor.

Re: Bat Western Name That Episode
Can't get them all, but at least one Nancy Kovack shot is from 'The Wild Westerners.' The name on the 'lobby sign' gives that away.
And without looking anything up, the shots of Yvonne dancing are from an ep of The Wild Wild West in which she played a female assassin named Ecstasy La Joie.

Re: Original Wail of the Siren concept/story outline
epaddon, I agree totally about it being better for Bat-villainesses to have an air of mystery, especially Catwoman. You make a very good case for that. Bower (who IMO was ill-served by her most famous role, which is the Star Trek episode "Catspaw") did indeed have more of an otherworldly a...

How about Shakira as the Siren? Men not only focus on her voice, they focus on her tushie cuz it shakes so much. Now, be honest, how many of the guys in this forum would NOT focus on Shakira singing and shaking her booty to the exclusion of all else? So it would be her rear end that actually ...

I got VERY scared when the giant clam failed to eat Venus, meaning we would be subjected to more of her whining and bad Marilyn Monroe impressions. Scarred me for life. . .epaddon wrote:I think the only time I got scared as a kid was by that silly giant clam in the Zodiac trilogy.

Tallulah Bankhead as Black Widow. Still today makes me shutter. Her voice: "Bat dolllllllllllll." ***SHIVER*** :o Have to admit, Tallulah scared me the LEAST of anyone this side of Ffogg and Peasoup, who were more pompous than threatening. Even when I was 8-9 years old, I was like why is ...

Re: Original Wail of the Siren concept/story outline
I think looking over the concept as a whole, the "Winnetka Winds" gimmick would have seemed less silly if it had been something tied more into a recurring phenomenon since the days of antiquity which perhaps a Siren who really *was* someone from antiquity would know about. To be honest, a...

Welcome back to the board, EBK! Marcia Cross definitely makes sense in terms of a current actress. Even though she's 50, she certainly looks younger.
