Re: TO THE BATPOLES podcast #66: This Joker Really Pops!
The Dynamic Duo is saved from electrical execution by a rolling blackout and they race to Police Headquarters. There they tell the Commissioner that the Batcave is unaffected by the blackout, thanks to anti-crime back-up power. But when we see them in the Batcave seconds later, Dozier narrates that...

Re: BEST DAY EVER!!! PART 2
I love everything about this thread. It's so cool that a "silly little TV show" from 50 years ago can still spark friendships and bring folks together in such wonderful ways. Thanks for sharing this terrific experience.

Re: Repaired and upgraded WhizzBang Shakespeare Bust
Great work Andy!
Concerning your comment about knotted cords inside the bust, is there any way to undo that without removing that fragile neckpiece?
Thanks,
Jim

Re: RIO: Lost 1961 Adam West Pilot!
Wow. Great find!
I can't find any info on the "Rio" cast beyond what's mentioned in the eBay listing, but one of the stills looks to me like it features Adam with Susan Silo, who played Riddler moll Mousey.

Re: Question about detailed Inventory of Batman 1966 Gadgets
As its name implies, the awesome tumblr blog A Collection of Bat-Labels catalogs items from the series (and feature film) that have labels attached. This won't capture bat-gadgets that aren't labeled, and it also includes items at villains' hideouts, Gotham City landmarks, etc., but it may save some...

Re: Clint Eastwood as Two-Face?
Both Redford and Eastwood had graduated from TV roles by the time Batman debuted. In 1966, Eastwood had more feature films under his belt, but the younger Redford arguably had a higher profile here in the states: Redford's first headline feature, The Chase, came out in '66 -- roughly a year before t...

Re: My Tribute to Adam West; 37 Years of Friendship
Great remembrance. Thanks for sharing this.
Since Adam addresses "Dennis" multiple times in the interview clips, it might be worth noting that early in his career Wally used the radio name Dennis Jimenez (a fact I just gleaned from Wikipedia).

Re: The Best of the Rest of Adam West
No "Best of the Rest of West" collection would be complete without the early 90s Lookwell pilot he starred in, written and produced by Conan O'Brien and Robert Smigel. IMO, it's the best thing Adam ever did after Batman. Background on the single-episode "series," including a YouT...

Memorial gesture for Adam?
Can anyone here shed light on whether Adam and his family have a charity where memorial contributions might be directed? And would any board members be interested in making a joint donation in the name of the Batman Message Board?
Thanks,
Jim

Jim

Re: A Revisit To The Bookworm
I agree. Plus it's the only two-parter I can think of with two doom-traps. That giant cookbook was a cool prop.
I wish Bookworm had been a repeat villain.
