Re: CHILLER CON

Yes, the prices have gotten really crazy (twice what they were only four years ago) - but I guess it's important to remember that this is Adam's last tour. I was very happy to finally meet Julie Newmar - she doesn't get to the east coast very often. She was most gracious, Burt was very friendly as a...

Re: Color of Bat Girl's Pilot jumpsuit

Purple has always been one of the hardest colors to render true on TV. It usually skews bluer than it really is. For example, Telly Monster on Sesame Street always looked purple on TV, but in person, he's fuchsia, and much pinker than you'd expect.

Re: New York Comic Con - who's going?

Yeah, I bet that's the one. Looks very like the Funko Batmobile, only twice the size. I expect the wheels don't turn on this one, either, but it was impossible to tell just looking at it in a case. They didn't have these for sale, as far as I could tell - I think it was a prototype. The little figur...

Re: Extended cowl ear test

Certainly looks authentic, Chuck!

Sorry if this covers old territory, but is the popular opinion that there was only one cowl with ear treatments done this way? Or were there more? The "Purrfect Crime" cowl is the same one that is used for most of the Bookworm episode, too, correct?

Re: New York Comic Con - who's going?

There was not much at NYCC for 66 Bat fans - no new merch that hasn't been seen elsewhere, no classic Batman guests. Yes, Chiller will be the NY-area must-go-to event. But I did enjoy bumming around NYCC in my 66 gear, and my daughter had fun on Sunday, Kids Day. She decided the week before that she...

New York Comic Con - who's going?

Coming up fast! Anyone from here going to be attending NYCC? I'll be there Thursday, Friday, and then on Sunday with my daughter.

Re: Whence those chest emblems in the "Bat Resources" section?

Welcome to the 1966 Batman Message Board! We are currently doing some renovations so service may be on and off during this time. Looks like most of the "resources" section is currently offline. They used to be on the archived forum, but they aren't there anymore, either. If you PM me your...

Re: Yvonne Craig - May 16, 1937 – August 17, 2015 :(

I'm tellin' ya, folks...it's WEIRD! Thanks for your anecdote, Wally. I know what you mean about the coincidence of Yvonne's passing and there just being something in the air. Tuesday morning, my 7 year old daughter, a big Batgirl fan, awoke and randomly asked to watch her favorite Batman Batgirl ep...

Terribly sad news. I know we here, and her many other fans, will feel the loss keenly. All best wishes to her family at this difficult time.

Fonts on Labels?

Hey, all. I've been planning for some time to make labels for some of my replica props, just for display purposes, but I'd really like them to be accurate to the sort of signage that was used on the show. All the stuff in the Batcave - the bat computers, etc - all had labels on them with a very spec...
