Re: BATMAN PREMIERE Jan 12th Revisited

Well, I did watch Hi Diddle Riddle at 6:30pm central tonight. 58 years old and I could clearly remember the excitement. The first episode was viewed by our family in black and white because we did not have a color tv. The next night, we drove to my cousins house to watch it in color. What a thrill. ...

50th soundstage thoughts and questions

As we approach the 50th anniversary and I reflect on years of enjoyment of the show, I have always been curious about the soundstage. I have seen a few pictures behind the lights, but not as many as I would have expected for such a popular show. I was wondering if any of our board members were fortu...

Re: Azarian Colletion on Display in Kentucky

I saw this post so I made a quick detour on my way to the NHRA race in Bowling Green. The Batman suit is really in very poor condition. Not sure what I expected, other than I have been used to seeing guys at the Comic-cons in there new, minty, perfectly beautiful suits. I was just not ready to see t...

Bring a heavy jumper. It is a bit cool in Logansport. Even colder than northern England as I remember it.

Fiberglass Freaks Thanksgiving Visit

Had the opportunity to spend a couple of hours with Mark at his shop in Logansport, IN last Friday. What a great time. This was my chance to see the Barris no. 4 car up close. Mark and his team are putting an incredible amount of work into this car. No doubt it will be spectacular when the restorati...

Re: 1966 Batman Night at the Toledo Walleye Hockey Game 11/2

My sincere thanks to Millionaire Playboy. When I saw this post regarding the Batman/Riddler jerseys I was fascinated by the chance to own them. My home team is the Evansville Icemen and they were the opposing team for Batman night. I contacted Ron and he tried to win a couple of the jerseys for me. ...

Re: Indy awesome con... Accomodations

I was just in Indy for the MotoGP weekend. The town was packed with several events, but the parking was still only $5 in most places that are walking distance. Lots of good hotels such as LaQuinta, Hampton Inn, etc within just a few miles of downtown. Indy is easy to get around and once parked, very...

Re: Remembering THE RIDDLER

I have posted this picture before, but just love it and thought it was appropriate for the discussion. This was taken at the 2004 Austin show. Had the pleasure of spending considerable time with Frank during the day and then attended the dinner for Burt, Adam and Frank that same evening.

I went to the Anaheim show in 2010 specifically to meet him. Had a chance to speak with him and his lovely wife for several minutes during a quiet time at the show. What a great guy and what an incredible amount of quality work he leaves behind. God Bless him and prayers to his family.

Alan Napier on Night Gallery (METV)

Just watched an episode of Rod Serling's Night Gallery from the 1970's on ME-TV. There was an excellent painting of Alan Napier as a main part of the script and then he made a quick cameo as a ghost. I'm not a big Night Gallery fan, but this one was pretty good.

I could not agree more. I have recently had a couple of issues that required the attention of Scott and they were handled with the same level of professionalism that we always see out of the moderators of this board. My sincere thanks as well. Thanks for keeping this a great place to visit.

Re: An open letter to my friend Billy

What a beautiful letter. I too have struggled with the grief of losing Billy, but have been unable to find the right words. Thanks for writing this. I have found the responses on this board to be fantastic and a wonderful tribute to Billy. I can't help but wonder if he knew how much he was loved by ...
