Re: The Ring of Wax episode

Has anyone here ever seen that episode in it's complete form including the scene where the riddler is dancing around inside the book vault after he has found the rare old Incan book? They always show it in the "last night bat adventure" recap but not in that episode that I have ever seen....

Riddle Me This #16

Riddle me this . . .

The land is white,
The sea is black,
It'll take a good scholar
To riddle me that.

Happy riddle-solving! The Riddler

Riddle Me This #15

I hope you all enjoyed your week off due to the Fourth of July holiday. Now, back to business! Riddle me this . . . What is the largest saw in the world? Two brothers bear a great burden all day, by which they are heavily pressed. But they bear no burden when they go to rest. What are they? Happy ri...

Re: SPOILERS: Just Read Batman 66 Comic #1-Discussion Thread

I read issues 1 and 2 last night. I far preferred issue 1 to issue 2 which, as other posters have noted, had some oddities that were very distracting: Alfred using the bat poles to bring a tray of milk to the cave was odd I thought the characterization of Alfred was way off. He was always written an...

Re: Your favorite Bat-Villain(ess) that never made the show

My #1 pick would be The Catman, who appeared in three issues of Detective Comics between January 1963 and March 1964. The Catman was really Thomas Blake, a bored big game hunter who toyed with the idea of becoming a crimefighter to relieve his boredom but turned to crime instead because he realiized...

Re: Riddle Me This #14 - Easy Easy

Citizens, Returning to the spirit of the thread, the answer to the riddle may be a riddle. Mr. Deathtrap If I am right, I am baffled about what crime this may indicate. Mr. Deathtrap wins it! No crime involved -- this is just me being a typical narcissistic villain and referencing my criminal theme...

All the better for outwitting Batman, no? With a wide variety of organs to choose from, he has only to guess the wrong one for me to complete my caper.

Re: Riddle Me This #14 - Easy Easy

I am not a clever man, but yes I suppose after 14 riddles this has jumped the shark Well, if riddles are a metaphor for evil, and the battle between good and evil is eternal, then riddles can no more jump the shark than birds, cats or jokes can. ;) After all, they're meant to be clues for Batman an...

Riddle Me This #14 - Easy Easy

This one is easy easy . . .

Riddle me this . . .

My veiled face is my face itself.
Unveiled, I am annulled.
I am hidden and concealed.
Yet, if you discover me, I will disappear before your eyes forever.

What am I?

Re: Riddle Me This #12

I've got it! The answer to the riddles are time and the human heart. Obviously, the Riddler plans to knock over an upcoming event related to a computer dating website based in Gotham City. Something to promote the site to upscale clients or perhaps a shareholder's meeting. Mr. Deathtrap You sir are...

The second riddle explained: A heart beats and beats (or runs and runs) but cannot run away because it's fixed in the human body. The heart "longs" for sunlight but can never see it because it's hidden away in the body.
