Re: An appreciation of Batman & Adam West

I feel that's largely because Adam was so completely underappreciated after Batman was off the air. his work prospects dried up because of typecasting, he spent much of his time doing bit parts (if that) or living on "Batman" appearances (It doesn't help that the Frank Miller Batman really...

Re: A Revisit To The Bookworm

Was watching this again after my previous post and suddenly had a few flashes in watching it the glasses Bit while watching the first fight between the dynamic duo and bookworm's gang, the never hit a man with glasses bit came up and I recalled the '89 Batman movie which seemed to poke fun at it. In...

Re: Favorite Non-Batman Adam West Moment.

Adam West did a great turn on the New World Zorro TV series that aired on the Family Channel in the early 90s.

The Wizard
Adam West appears as peddler and inventor Dr. Wayne. The Alcalde hires Dr. Wayne to invent a way to trap Zorro

Re: Holy Oh-No! Batman '66 comic near end of line(?)

Agreed. I love what we've had for the last few years and I'll always welcome more Bat-products whenever they become available. Also, closing down the monthly issues/crossovers doesn't mean slamming the door on the property and burying it for all time. There's always room in the future for One-shot s...

Re: TO THE BATPOLES podcast #62: Batman vs The Green Hornet: Blue, Green, and Pink

The interesting thing I noticed about this episode was that for the most part, anyone who refers to Kato does so by calling him the Green Hornet's masked accomplice/confederate etc... This of course means that the "enforcer" the green Hornet works with has no proper name. (oddly enough Bat...

Re: A Revisit To The Bookworm

Bookworm has really become my total favorite of all the '66 Villains. and it's funny, because I really forgot the character existed from when i watched the show as a kid in the 70s. In fact, when the 89 Batman movie came out, I was puzzled as to why Roddy McDowell of all people would be chosen to re...

Re: Adam has died

I was out and about all day and hadn't really checked in anywhere this morning online. As I was browsing my local B&N I got a text message from my dad about the news. my reply "there are no more heroes left in the world." I was fortunate enough to meet Adam a few years back at a wizard...

Re: Things you didn't notice or remember until seeing the DVDs

yeah I do recall that. It's funny how you get scenes from various episodes mixed together in your brain (especially when you've been running through them recently)
Thanks

Re: Re-Casting Batman

The question is would working on Batman have had a major effect on future TV projects for them afterwards? Lyle Waggoner for example had screen-tested for Batman in '65. If he had gotten it, would he have also later played col. and then Agent trevor in the Wonder woman series? or would Adam West hav...

Re: Things you didn't notice or remember until seeing the DVDs

Ok so this is a little reverse to the main Topic but I'm suddenly confused. Over the years I've watched Batman on and off. and there have been as many episodes I've missed here and there as there are episodes I've seen repeatedly. For the last four or five months I've watched every Batman episode be...

Re: Batman Visits

Batman: Brave and the Bold I'm Sure, is a big help in today's kids recognizing the Blue/Grey Classic costume as being a legitimate look for the Caped Crusader.
They may never have seen the '66 series but they see Batman in that look anyway.

Re: Talia in the 60's

You need somebody exotic for Talia, the woman who played Spocks wife on Star Trek would be great. Why would she be a child in the 60s? Regardless, I know so few actors and actresses especially children I'd have to let someone else chime in. You mean T'pring played by Arlene Martel....she has the ex...

Re: Things you didn't notice or remember until seeing the DVDs

When I first got the DVDs I ripped them all to my computer and watch them whenever I want on it or my devices. Usually when I watch them on the desktop computer I use quicktime. For the most part I just skip through the opening animation credits and go straight to the action. However, Tonight I stop...
