Re: The Great Divide
I saw the show in its first run in the UK. I'm not sure when it began in the UK, though it would have been later in 1966 than January. June 1967 Down Under, on Sunday and Tuesday nights. We also got the BATMAN bubble gum cards, which were widely collected. Our photo cards from the 1966 movie (Topps...

I'm in Australia, but it might be fun if I could do some inserts for you with some of my custom figures that FTC didn't make? https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1676/25286861115_660fa0a3ce.jpg TV Batman villains by Ian McLean , on Flickr https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1599/26105054601_3432160e4f.jpg Rob...

Re: The Great Divide
I was there for Batmania in 1967 (we were way behind the US premiere - 18 months!) in Australia. But I was also there for Batmania in 1989, and it was just as manic, and the magic wore off just as fast. [EDIT: The "Batman" feature film did run in the Sydney CBD, at the now-defunct Palace T...

Re: What is your favorite episode?
But thanks for the pic of Nichele with the script: I never noticed that. That makes the set worth it, along with the novel shots of starship models created just for this product, and not at all like what we saw on the tube. Scroll down here for the whole cast of "Bonanza" telling kids exa...

Re: What is your favorite episode?
The first Riddler adventure is indelible, of course, but interestingly elusive in reruns, so much so that I wondered if I'd dreamed parts of it. When I finally got my copy of "Fantastic Television", the episode guide reminded me of its existence. Similarly, my friends and I were always wai...

Re: Dig This UP-CLOSE LOOK at the Original 1966 PENGUIN SUB
That sub prop is wonderful! For a moment, I thought the “three cardboard standees” in the background were the actual props from “The Entrancing Dr Cassandra”, which once hung in Dozier’s office until the auction. But nah, the poses are different. "Lot 1159. Trio of screen-used life-size 'Batman...

Re: This did my heart good
Interesting to note, the Wonder Woman I knew, couldn't fly. She needed an invisible jet lol. Maybe you couldn't see the kid's jet because... it was invisible? ;) I saw a neighbor's kid who was about 6 play with a bunch of hot wheels. And included was a 66 Batmobile! He was having it jump small rock...
