Re: Things/People who annoyed you
The way Giggler and Laugher laugh ad nauseum when Catwoman introduces them to Joker. It was season three. The BatGirl theme song, makes me cringe when it plays. I mute the TV now. It was season three. ...and the lyrics. Headache time. Colonel Gumm, especially his alphabet soup fetish. That crossove...

Re: Series Finale? should there be one
I've said the series did not need a formal finale, but if the producers knew it was on the chopping block early on, the show would have been served by a season three restructuring. That starts with not dragging on "star" names to play ultimately worthless villains (saving money there) and ...

Re: Villians, "Fab Four" and more
For me I'd select King Tut, Mr. Freeze, Siren and False Face. I had considered Egghead, but he ended up being too much of a wuss to make the list. I have to agree with your "B" team Fab Four list--only if Freeze is the Sanders version. Now, the second exercise is to make an unfabulous fou...

Re: Series Finale? should there be one
Batman did not need a series finale. There was no indication in the scripts that the characters and situations were coming to some conclusion. Examples include: Dick Grayson going to college, or Wayne falling in love and wanting to marry--something that would compromise his job as a risk-taking cri...

Re: Season 3 a breath of fresh air?
I just got to the much maligned season 3 and honestly I don't think its quite as bad as what everybody makes it out to be. I really love the new episode format which immediately makes the whole show seem fresh. Too many of season three's plots were 1/3 the effort of the previous year, with a rush t...

Re: Things/People who annoyed you
I rise to defend the lady. Batman probably not deputized right away. Can you imagine I guy walking into police headquarters saying "Excuse me, I'd like to be a duly deputized agent of the law!" He had to earn some cred first. Apparently, Batman and Robin earned it, but for another costume...

Re: Things/People who annoyed you
And why did they have to end nearly every episode asking where Batgirl went or with Robin's discounted suggestion to follow her. Terrible. Yes, it was terrible. Batgirl was not deputized to fight crime like B & R, so she was--in fact--breaking the law. Now, for Batman to be such a strong suppor...

Re: Things/People who annoyed you
If there was one thing about the series that I did not like it was when they carried the wooden earnestness of Batman to the point where Batman himself became the butt of the joke. The Pengy for Mayor episode is the ultimate example of this and you can also point to the over-literalness in "Ki...

Re: Green Hornet comes to DVD too!
Several years ago a smaller video company released 2 titles of GH under the guise of the GH movies. Which essentially took episodes, and edited them using/emphasizing Lee's fight scenes, into one long film. One was from Brentwood Home Video: The Original 1974 movie classic Bruce Lee as Kato in The ...

Re: Batman viewing order
I've always believed the move can only exist after the S2 Catwoman episode, "Hot Off the Griddle, " because of the direct reference to her previous appearance (and assumed death). That, or if you care to, it can be placed at the end of S2, as there's no detail in the movie script which cr...

Re: Batman viewing order
I know batman the movie was actually released after season 1 of the show but I was curious as to where fellow bat fans actually place the film in their preferred viewing order. I am going through the full dvd collection and I intend on watching the film after season 3 mainly because I'd rather not ...

Re: Dozier interview before the movie
Thanks for the photos! I love the look back at Batmania.
About Dozier wanting Julie for the film...it makes the mind soar with the possibilities of Julie's version of Kitka. Still, Lee delivered a striking, memorable Catwoman, so it was a "win" for fans.
