Re: Guess What I’m Getting for Christmas!
Actually, radio influenced that too but in a different way. Bud Collyer, the voice of Clark/ Superman did both voices and used that trick on the radio Superman show so that the audiences could "see" in their mind, Clark's change into the man of steel. That trick, of changing voices or over...

Oh and by the way, I also have a serious crush on Anne Nagel. Her expressions were marvelous and she had the sexiest accent on the screen I've ever heard. A real "gal Friday"!

Frenchy, that wasn't Jones changing his voice but instead a voice over by Al Hodge, the voice of the GH on radio. They felt Jones' voice wasn't commanding enough so Hodge stepped in to fill in the Hornet's voice, an easy task as his face was obscured by the mask.

The suit was designed by former Don Post Studios sculptor Robert Short who also won the special effects Academy Award for Beetlejuice. I always loved that suit (and the series) too!

Re: BATMAN Made in '43 Discovered in '65!
Thanks for the kind words. It is indeed a TeePublic shirt. Well done sir! To be honest, I put it on right out of the package, took the pic, and then immediately put it on a mannequin along with the rest of the costume so it's never been washed. It appears to be a high quality shirt and print job tho...

Larry, unfortunately you've seen as much as I have. The cowl, cape, and gloves are from Williams Studio and Lynne and Chuck did a marvelous job on them. The handwork that went into the cape is just amazing! I'm building the suit as funds allow so when I get more completed I'll show another update.

Re: Batman 1989 Is A Bad Batman Movie
It was groundbreaking in a lot of ways. I have a hard time sitting through it now.
The "look" of the movie is better than the movie itself to me.
It ain't no '43 Batman, that's for sure!!! LOL!

Re: Batman Serial Press Kit by Andy Fish
I happened across it several months ago while perusing some gun books on lulu. I had to get it as I do practically anything about the first Batman serial. It's a good read and the press kit reprints are a treasure.

Re: Was THE GREEN HORNET a Better Show than BATMAN?
One more thing which to me gives Batman the edge. As far as characters go Batman (not specifically 66 Bats) can work in any time period whereas GH and Tarzan are definitely period pieces and don't seem to translate well into modern times. I still love them all!

Re: Was THE GREEN HORNET a Better Show than BATMAN?
I echo John Mack's words. For me it just depends what mood I'm in. As a child hands down Batman was better but as I grew older I began to appreciate the GH more. GH suffered from it's 30 minute time which left no time for plot, much less character development. I like GH as much as I do Batman, just ...
