Re: 1/8 Batmobile Mego scaled from Fanhome
Great points-- even with FTC's 66 Batman figures-- you're not talking "screen accurate". It's funny how things play out-- when I was a kid I played with my Mego Batman and Robin figures and to me they WERE Adam and Burt-- I would have loved the FTC versions back then (or so I thought), bu...

Re: Arnold's from Happy Days = Miniature Batcave Idea
This is really well done. I especially like all the ads and logos. Is there a place to keep the shark? And don't forget - The Malachi Brothers and their 'Crunch' RULE!

Re: 1/8 Batmobile Mego scaled from Fanhome
Or how about just saying "thanks for your inquiry-- it'll cost $1691.57 when all is said and done."? In Canada that converts to (as of this typing) $2,286.70. Sorry Fanhome, but I can really put that money to better use. 8-) And to think that the original Corgi Batmobile that started all ...

Re: 1/8 Batmobile Mego scaled from Fanhome
The collectibles market, from what I've seen on other websites, is completely out of control now, price-wise. Then add to that how we constantly hear how many people are struggling financially now and I just don't know who the hell is buying all this stuff!

Re: R.I.P. David Soul aka 'Hutch'
He was 80?!? I will always remember him as the young cop in Magnum Force and Starsky and Hutch. An observation: Starsky and Hutch appears to be HEAVILY influenced by the movie, “The Super Cops” in which the two partner officers were referred to as “Batman and Robin” on the street. I love that movie...

I have it. It's very colorful. My late wife helped me assemble it and then we glued it to a cardboard backing. I originally intended to frame it but now it just sits with the rest of the collection.

R.I.P. David Soul aka 'Hutch'
David Soul passed yesterday at 80 in England where he resided. Many here will remember his 1975 - 1979 role as Det. Ken Hutchison on Starsky and Hutch and also as the vampire hunter, Ben Mears, in the 1979 original Salem's Lot TV mini-series. He was also one of the rogue SFPD motorcycle officers in ...

Re: Corgi Club confirms Batmobile reissue in 2024
The Corgi Club Bond Aston Martin sold for $58 so I'm guessing the Batmobile will be between $58 to $70. I've heard the 1966 Batmobile royalties are double the regular Batman license. Corgi Club has not announced prices yet. Considering mint boxed vintage Corgi Batmobile sold for $1000, this is very...

Lady Penelope Peasoup. I'll always remember her for that, and Mary Poppins. Those two episodes were goofy fun.

Re: Corgi Club confirms Batmobile reissue in 2024
They've been reissuing for a number of years, and the Bond Car has been very popular. They have well over two dozen re-releases in the Corgi Club-- and this is my kind of club--no membership dues and no obligations to buy anything-- you just get emails saying what's out. I've been buying quite a fe...

Re: Chandell Headknocker?
Rather than Chandell, I'd love having the knockers of his three molls (there's a joke in there that almost writes itself ) in their bagpipe player outfits. One of my all-time favorite moments from the series. Man, what I'd give to have those three come in through my back patio!

Re: Corgi Club confirms Batmobile reissue in 2024
My collecting is pretty much over with, but this does have my attention as I have always been a fan of Corgi Cars going back to the late '60s. Those die-casts always mesmerized me as a kid. Loved the Batmobile and Batboat and thought the Batcopter in the '70s was a hoot even if it wasn't that screen...

Re: The Latest Batman Item You've Acquired?
Both. I actually have 2 shelves of the AURORA Monsters. One shelf is the Glow versions and the other is the regular non glow versions. Anyway, most of my glow kits are original AURORA while the majority of my non glow are reissues. 2 shelves of Aurora Monster models? I am envious. I also love the P...
