Re: Things you didn't notice or remember until seeing the DVDs

Was just thinking about this today. In the first Penguin arc Fine Finny Finks, The Crime-fighters are watching Penguin's cell footage and Robin notes that Penguin's in his usual top hat and tails. He can't believe Penguins allowed to stay out of standard prison uniform until the warden tells him it...

Re: RIP Van Williams 1934 - 2016

So very sad, but Mr. Williams is off to a bigger adventure.

I appreciated his work before & after The Green Hornet--always a solid actor. He will be missed.

Re: New Batman Book - First Look

Sat down and read it last night, there's a lot of information in here. If you have read the other bat books and magazines there is still a bit more in depth of the development of the show. John there is a chapter on the music but that equates to a page and a half and is mostly on the theme. Nice sp...

I have not heard or read any confirmation about that, either.

What did I post: Progress Pigment: then someone should ask Adam, Burnett or anyone else from that production for direct information . ...which is the best evidence source one can ask for--instead of copy+paste stories that are still unsubstantiated--or could be just as false as the "Manson tri...

Re: The Adam West Batman Series We Missed Out On

^^^ So in other words Batwinged Hornet - according to you - NOTHING that you post (including your claim that this was not a pilot) should ever be taken seriously unless you can show absolute proof of everything you claim in each and every post. What did I post: Progress Pigment: then someone should...

Progress Pigment: then someone should ask Adam, Burnett or anyone else from that production for direct information. ...oh, and many things are printed (and reprinted) in books, but that does not mean the content is sourced to be true. For example, a few "authors" (I will leave nameless) st...

Re: The Adam West Batman Series We Missed Out On

Kind of nice to see this substantiated. Too often, the attitude of "if I've never heard it, it never happened" by the self-appointed experts will stop a subject like this cold in its tracks. Good job "Boss". All the link offers is a re-wording of the same story: The one episode ...

Re: Ideas for new Batman 66 AN episodes?

I think the fastest way to kill the series would be to go with anything even close to the Legends of the Superheroes special. X1000. That special trashed the memory of the 1966 series--going a long way in selling the idea of Batman being "childish" and was as respectful to the source as t...

Re: New Green Hornet...a serious take

I would be jumping for joy at the idea of a serious Green Hornet--erasing that ridiculous goon Rogen's version, but O'Connor seems very misguided in trying to completely alter Britt Reid's origin, all to ramp up this "badass" idea. Its "badass" enough that Britt Reid dives head f...

Re: The Adam West Batman Series We Missed Out On

Progress Pigment, all the book passage offers is a another unsubstantiated claim with no reference, quote, or anything else. That one episode should not be thought to represent the interests of Hanna Barbera, a company that was more than content with their kiddie/network friendly versions of DC char...

Re: The Adam West Batman Series We Missed Out On

The episode, which I've not seen in many years, always felt a bit disjointed from the rest of the Super Friends episodes, although it was in a season where they were branching out with other DC Characters. There's little mentioned that this was a failed pilot in any of the histories of the studio i...

RIP. I could not see Grimes p...
