Re: The Latest Batman Item You've Acquired?
Andy, I respect your opinion very, very much. But I have to disagree with your opinion of the Hot Toys figures. Having seen the NECA Batman figure and it's GLARING flaw of the man-boobs/chest articulation point, I had to pass on it, despite the price being way more affordable than the Hot Toys. I ju...

Re: Batman TV series DVD set in 2014!!
I know we're all excited for this big release, but I think a 15, 16, or 17 disc set is going to call for a huge box, and in that box, there should be room for collectible extras, like maybe a card set, a diecast figure or a Batmobile, something that every fan of the show will want to keep on their s...

Re: The #4 Barris Batmobile Is In the House!
Mark, the fact that you get to lay your hands on an original Barris car is enough to give us all fits of jealousy. Not to mention the areas of expertise you have in the Batmobile department....

1:18 Scale GH Black Beauty from AutoArt announced last year
Can anyone tell me if there has been any progress in the large scale model of the Black Beauty that was announced in the summer of '13? I get that quality diecast takes time, but has AutoArt ever sent out any production notices, release info., pictures, ANYTHING? Anyone out there know anything subst...

Re: Batman TV series DVD set in 2014!!
If they expect the average collector to shell out more than $100 for what will probably be a six or seven disc set, they had better include a few extras. Maybe some limited edition postcard sized prints or trading cards, maybe a collector diecast toy or two...and of course, a bonus disc with rare ou...

Re: Rest in Peace Lorenzo Semple Jr
He and William Dozier are directly responsible for us even having this forum.....he was a TV legend and pioneer, and I'm sure will be sorely missed by this community.
May his wonderful contribution to our lives be forever remembered, and may he rest in peace.

Re: The World of Bat-Color
My hopes for a blu ray/ DVD collection would be for the creators to digitize the original film, reprocess the brilliant colors, and restore this incredible TV show for a new generation of fans....because watching the episodes on YouTube just isn't the same thing as sitting down, popping in a disc, a...

Re: Recreating classic photos, scenes or poses from the show
I realize this post probably belongs in the crafts section, but someone asked about recreating scenes. I'm working on a Batcave diorama and it will definitely have Penguin in it, from I think a season 1 episode, The Penguin Goes Straight.

Gotham City...A Lawless Metropolis?
Just wondering if anyone out there would enjoy living in beautiful Gotham City, or not, because it attracts Arch-Villians, Crazed Goons, and other less desirable Creeps and Wack-Jobs? Crime is high..(at least one major crime happens each week) and the police can't function without the Caped Crusader...

Re: #1 Batmobile will be in Boston
I thought the No.1 was auctioned off at Barrett Jackson in Scottsdale, and went to a private car collector that lives in Phoenix? What is it doing in Boston? Is it on tour? Anyone know details?

They list Adam's cancellation in small print on the very bottom of the Celebrity Guests page of the website even though the first page still shows the 1966 movie poster and Adam and Burt as Batman and Robin in a very prominent manner. Time to update their website, n'est pas?

Re: Suggestions for my Fan Fiction
I would like to think of Dick Grayson as never having left stately Wayne Manor, aunt Harriet, or poor old Alfred! Having him commute on a daily basis to Gotham City U would allow your writing to involve more solo Batman capers and tight squeezes, and the ancillary characters which have never been fu...

Re: Red hotline phone to Commisioner Gordon
Thanks, Ben and Bob for the info...will probably try my hand at removing the guts and rotary dial, and fashion some type of reproduction light panel in place of the dial. Getting the color to match might be the biggest problem, but it's just another project to attempt...by the way, Ben, that phone l...
